Platform Plug and Abandon Prognosis ( GPP 42-23 August 23, 1995 redrill casing for Plug and abandon the existing wellbore and evaluate the 9-5/8' options. Objective: Plug and Abandon Backuound Information: OPP 42-23 is an idle water injector, last workover occurred in January of 1971 when the completion was pulled. During the workover the dual completion below 13,327 was not recovered due to reported collapsed casing. Subsequently, a single 3-1/2" completion was run in the well. In 1992, the tubing was peñorated at 13003'-13005' WLM and approximately 821 bbls of 12.4 ppg drilling mud contaminated with oil was stored in the annulus. Recently, slickline work in the well was able to run a 2.71" gauge cutter to 8300' WLM. No pressures were recorded on the tubing or annulus. I MIRU R156 on Leg #3, Conductor #7. Kill well with FIW, attempt to circulate down the tubing and taking returns on the annulus via the peñorations existing in the tubing at 13003-13005' WLM (above the packer). All fluid returns should be maintained and disposed of entirely in OPP 44-11. Bullhead one tubing volume and the volume below the packer (total 120 bbls required) into the open peñorations at 13275'-13305' DIL. Ifunsuccessful with the circulation or bullhead contact the office to discuss. If necessary, Dialog is available to peñorate the tubing. 1. MSL. On R156 at OPP the RKB last workover the RKB was reported at 105 Note: During the is at 115' MSL. Once the well is dead without pressures, install BPV, nipple down the tree and install the 13-5/8' BOPE. FMC will provide all services related to the wellhead and Cooper will handle the new tree. Test the BOPE according to Unocal standards and the test pressure as indicated by the Application of Sundry. Complete all necessary UNOCAL and AOGCC paperwork, notify AOOCC within 24 hours prior to the test. 2. Rig up a buttress landing joint. Engage and pull the tubing hanger free, check for movement of the string down hole. The pull limitation (yield strength) on the string is limited to 80% yield for the 3-1/2" 9.2# N80 tubing above string weight. Attempt to pull the seal assembly (20') out of the perm packer at 13212'. If unsuccessful, cut the tubing at ±13000'. Pull the tubing free and CBU. 3. ~u Using the existing tubing, mix and pump a balanced cement plug with a volume equivalent to fill {tV the lineal feet of the wellbore from the packer to 100' below the base of the peñorations. Attempt to down squeeze cement below the packer. Reverse circulate the tubing clean above the TOC. ~ Do not WOC or tag the plug, unless so instructed by the permit from the AOOCC. This plug (\ () i will abandon the open peñorations from 13275'-13305' DIL. "I' ; 4. ED - ,,, 4' -4,-1 " '995 & Gas Cons. Do not WOC or tag the plug, unless so instructed by the permit from the AOGCC. This plug will abandon the 7" liner top at 9781' MD. 6. POOH, lay down all the 3-112" tubing as required. If practical, cull out 30-40 joints for cement plug operations and stand-back as required. Note: Ensure tubing recovered is handled per UNOCAL' s policy for naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM). All tubing laid down is to be designated junk and should be sent to SMS. 7. Rlli with 8-1/2" bit (use a Re-run bit ifpossible) and 9-5/8" casing scraper (able to drift 40-47# 9-5/8" casing), while picking up drill pipe as required. Rlli to ±7500', circulate clean and POOH.. Do not Dressure test the 9-5/8" casin2 at this time. Note: Be careful while Rlli with the gauge bit and casing scraper, the potential for casing problems exist. 8. Rig up Schlumberger and peñorm the following cased hole operations; USI (Cement & Casing Inspection) from ±75OO' - suñace. TOC is estimated at 6378' MD. GCT (Gyro swvey) from ±75OO' - suñace at 100' stations. Logging speed for the USI is 1200 fph for combined cement and casing services. Ensure that Schlumberger is aware of the locations of the different weights of casing. Transmit (fax) the log to Anchorage office ASAP for further review and evaluation, use fax number 263-7862. Ensure that Schlumberger has pre-programmed the internal yield for the 9-5/8" casing strings, this will allow easier interpretation of revised internal yields based on remaining wall thickness. Please have the Gyro data sent to Tom Jones at Inteq's office. 9. Review and discuss the casing inspection log, depending on the evaluation pressure test the casing 3000 psi or less if directed for 30 minutes, achieve this pressure at 500 psi increments. This well is presently being utilized as a water inj ectfon W:~ll and is corrpleted with two 2-3/8" tubing strings landed at 13,339' ançì 14,400' with hydraulic set packers at 13,190', 13,327' and 13,889'. It is proposed to pull the tubing strings and packers, establish water injectio~ rates into the three main injection intervals seperately and recomplete" the well with three permanent packers set at approximately the same depth and run single 3~" tubing string through the packers. Sliding sleeves will be placed opposite the three intervals to permit a controlled injection profile. A safety flow valve will be placed in the tubing immediately above the top packer. It is estimated that work will comnence on approximately January 4, 1971. hereby 16 Approved Copy Returned On Reverse Side TITLE See ',nstructions .r. 1;/ :0 I ( ( ..
