I.D. Drill Collars: 2.500"
Drill Collar. Capacity: .0061 bbls/line foot or 163.93ft/barrel
Test Tool Makeup~ See attached 'diagram.
Cushion: 3000' of fresh water (41 barrels).
Rathole Mud Calculations: Multiple caliper-log runs indicated the Rathole
to vary in diameter from 9 to 16 inches with a volume range from 14 to 53
barrels. Sine the caliper logs probably indicated an out-of-round hole
rather than a caved hole, the probable rat-hole volume was assumed to be
20-25 barrels.
Mechanical Operation:
Ran in hole with 3000' water cushion, set packers at 12,735; light blow,
packer failed in two minutes; Fluid level dropped 20'; set weight; filled
hole; set weight again; packer hel~.
Initial Flow: 9:34 A.M. to 9:40 A.M. 6 minutes
Initial S.I. 9:40 A.M. to 9:57 A.M. 17 minutes
Second flow 9:57 A.M. to10:42 A.M. 45 minutes
Final ShutIn 10:42 A.M.to 11:1.7 A.M. 35 minutes
Attempted to pull packer loose; would not move; pulled with 300,000#;
no success; closed rams and pumped in 125 barrels mud.
Page 2.
Test Results: Immediate fair blow~ ' g ' ' ial flow; imme~ia~= weak
blow increasing to steady fair blow 'throughout second flow. No fluid
to surface. Estimated to have recovered 20 barrels of very slightly gas
cut mud.

Collected two fluid samples from joint of drill pipe between Hydrospring
and Dual Close-in-valve. Samples were mud with salinities of 500 and 600
ppm chloride. Collected one sample from stand of drill collars between
Impact Sub and Dual close-in-valve. Sample was slightly contaminated mud
with salinity of 650 ppm chloride.

RECEIVED
MAY 2 9 '196
Dear Mr. Marshall:
We are enclosing in triplicate an Application for Permit to Drill to
cover the drilling of our proposed Moquawkie No. 2 Well. Also enclosed
is our Draft No. 56180 in the amount of $50.00 to cover the filing fee.
As set forth in the application, this well is planned to be a 12,000'+
Hemlock formation test and the proposed location is within the spacing
pattern for an exploratory well. However, in anticipation of the
possibility that the well may result in finding no production in the
deeper objectives but may be capable of being plugged back and completed
as a Moquawkie Gas Field well, we hereby request that a spacing exception
be granted at this time which would allow for a gas completion at this
location.
The plat attached to the application sets forth the leaseholders in the
sections adjoining the well location, and we will furnish copies of this
request to all such adjoining leaseholders.
As we are proceeding with plans to commence drilling the proposed well
in the near future, your handling of this application as soon as possible
is requested.
Sincerely,
R~s o n
Land Supervisor
