The U.S. Geological Survey is and has been conducting the study. Yukon Services, Inc. drilled their Campbell Point Unit No. 1 Well within Section 31, T13N, R4W. This well has proven dry so far as gas and oil are concerned but does present an avenue to explore the water tables, temperatures and pressures at depths up to 1000 feet. You are respectively requested to allow the City of Anchorage the use of this well for exploration of underground waters and as an observation well of those waters. Upon completion of the well's beneficial use to the City, the City of Anchorage will provide a cap or plug for the well according to State of Alaska conservation regulations and practices.
