SUBJE, CT: Well Status Trading Bay State Well #1
In your letter to Mr. R. E. Wycoff dated April 23, 1973, you
requested that we prepare paperwork for fo~nal abandonment
of the subject well. A review of our records and discussion
with your staff indicate that an application for change of
status to abandonment for the Trading Bay State #1 Well was
filed in January, 1969. This application was approved by
your office later the same month. A copy of the application
and your approval letter are attached for your information.
I assume that this will satisfy your request of Mr. Wycoff
regarding the Trading Bay State Well #1. If we can provide
any additional information, please let me know.

think it would be a good idea for Bob Hartig and I to get together with the

this case. if ~he Committee decides that the information does not change their
original determination, then we need to advise the Commissioner on the next
course of action.

2151 Surface Equipment
~Adequateometerimg facilities shall be.provided to efficiently measure the gas
for the purpose of obtaining gas-oil ratios on 'each well. Wellhead equipment shall
be installed and maintained in first-class condition so that static bottom hole
pressures of flowing wells may be obtained at any time. Valves shall be installed
so that surface pressures can be readily obtained at any time. Valves shall be
installed so that surface pressures can be readily obtained on both casing and tubing.
2152 Notification of Accidental Loss of Oil and/or Gas
All persons controlling or operating any oil and gas wells or pipelines, or
receiving tanks, storage tanks, or receiving and storage receptacles into~ which crude
oil is produced, received, stored, or through which oil is piped or transported,
Shall immediately notify the Committee by letter giving full details concerning all
fireS which occur at such oil or gas wells or tanks or receptacles on their property,
and all' SuCh perSons shall immediately report all tanks or receptacles struck by
lightning and any other fire which destroys oil or gas, and shall immediately report
any breaks or leaks in or from tanks or receptacles and pipelines from which oil or
gas is escaping or has escaped. In all such reports of fires, breaks, leaks, or
escapes, or other accidents of this nature, the location of the well, tank, receptacle,
or line break shall be given by section, township and range, and property so that the
exact location thereof can be readily located on the ground. Such report shall like-
wise specify what steps have been taken or are in progress to remedy the situation
reported and shall detail the quantity of oil or gas lost, destroyed, or permitted to
escape. In case any tank or receptacle is permitted to run over, the escape thus
Occurring shall be reported as in the case of a leak. The report hereby required as
to oil losses' shall be necessary only in case such oil loss exceeds 200 barrels in
the aggregate, or when such gas loss exceeds 2,000,000 cubic feet in the aggregate.
2153 Multiple Completion of' Wells
No well may be put into multiple production without approval of the Committee.
The approval of the Committee will req~re evidence of adequate and complete
separation as ascertained by pressure and/or circulation tests conducted at the
time the packers are set. Subsequently, if packer leakage is suspected, the
Co, tree may request operator to provide proof of adequate and complete separation ·
Of the pools involved in the completions or make a packer leakage test. Notification
shall be given so that such packer leakage~test .may be witnessed ~y a representative
