A recent review of our well history database indicates that Marathon Oil Company is the
operator of three abandoned wells that have not received Commission approval of final
' "location clearance" as required by 20 AAC 25.170 or 20 AAC 25.172.

The attached list indicates that the three wells are "ready for inspection" and provides
additional information about the Wells. Please contact Blair Wondzell at (907) 793-1226
within 30 days to arrange for Commission inspection of the location condition.

Continued location and road repair with numerous problems due to -28°F
temperature. Rigged up wireline and tagged tubing plug at 5561'.
Perforated tubing from 5461'-5465' with 2 spf. Rigged down wireline.
Rigged up cementers but froze up and broke hydraulic line. Spilled +10
gal. hyudraulic fluid on location. Called in spill to C. Lockwood -
Anchorage Secured well and took D.S. cement unit to shop at 1600 hours.
well work due to blizzard conditions. Cleaned up hydraulic oil spill.
Cleared snow and worked on road and location. Rigged up cementers.
Circulated ~11 through perfs %~ith returns to surface. Mixed and pumped
85 barrels H20 + J-347 gelling agent + 2 barrels H20. Shut in
annulus and broke down formation at 1/2 bpm with 1900 psi. Mixed and
pumped 200 sacks Class "G" cement + 1% D-79 + 0.2% D-46 squeezing below
packer. Displaced cement 1 barrel past perfs in tubing. Cement in place
at 2024 hours. Secured well.
Rigged up cementers and attempted to circulate through perfs - no good.
Rigged up wireline and cut tubing at 5416'. Attempted to circulate - no
good. Assumed that cement broke down formation and channeled to perfs in
casing at 4716'. Ran in hole with cutter and cut tubing at 4650'.
Established circulation to surface, no signs of J-347 gel slurry.
Circulated additional gel slurry to surface. Mixed and equalized 250
sacks Class "G" cement + 1% D-79 + 0.2% D-46 from 4650'-2815'. Cement in
olace at 1930 hours. Rigged up wireline and perf'd tubing at 300'.
Mixed and pumped 55 sacks Class "G" cement + 1% D-79 + 0.2% D-46 with
returns to surface. Attempted top job in 11-3/4" X 7" annulus, took 1
0arrel. Cement in place at 2130 hours. Secured well.
Performed top jOb again pumping 9 bbls in 7" X 2-7/8" annulus, 1 bbl in
2-7/8" tubing, 1 bbl in 20" X 11-3/4" annulus and 8 bbls Class "G" cement
into 11-3/4" X 7" annulus.
Installed flange and abandonment post on casing head.

1.) RU APRS over KU 44-18. Make sure casing and tubing have no pressure.
2.) RIH with 1 3/4" jet tubing perforator and perforate tubing +_100' above
plug at +5511'. ROH with ARRS and RD.
3.) RU DS and pressure test surface equipment to +_3000 psi.
4.) Circulate well-until returns established through annulus, with fresh
water (see Pump Schedule on Page 2).
5). Mix and pump 85 bbls of H20/J-347 Gel mixture followed by 2 bbls H20.
Shut-in casing/ tubing annulus and perform injection test. Attempt to
pump down tubing (through the ported sub below the tubing plug at
5611'). If an injection rate of 1/2 bpm below 2100 psi can be
established, squeeze perfs with 200 sx "G" cement and additives, as per
Pump Schedule on Page 2. --
Note: Watch the annulus pressure guage closely while attempting this
step. If annulus pressure builds to 2100 psi, shut down pumps
open annulus and lay 333 sxs balanced plug above packer. If
annulus pressure does not build over 2100 psi and injection rate
can be established, mix and pump 200 Sx down tubing through the
ported sub. Open annulus and lay 333 sxs balanced plug .above
packer f/5511' to 3032'. (See pump schedule on page 2). During
Steps #5 & #6, the 11 3/4" X 7" annulus will also be monitored.

1.) RU APRS over KU 44-18. Make sure casing and tubing have no pressure.
2.) RIH with 2 7/8" tubing, cutter and cut tubing +_100' above plug at
+5511'. POH with APRS and RD.
3.) RU DS and pressure test surface equipment to +_~000 psi.
4.) Circulate well until returns established through' annulus, with fresh
water (see Rump Schedule on Page 2).
5.) Shut-in casing/ tubing annulus and perform injection test. Attempt to
pump down tubing (through the ported sub below the tubing plug at
5611'). If an injection rate of 1/2 bpm below 700 psi can be
established, squeeze perfs with 200 sx "G" cem6nt and additives, as per
Rump Schedule on Rage 2.
Note: Watch the annulus pressure gUage closely while attempting this
step. If annulus pressure builds to 700 psi, shut down pumps and
open annulus. Proceed to Step #6. If annulus pressure does not
build over 700 psi and injection rate can be established, mix and
pump 200 sx down tubing through the ported sub. After CIR, WOC
+12 hours. Open annulus and go to Step #6. During Step #5, the
ll 3/4" X 7" annulus will also be monitored.
65% of 7" 0-55 casing burst pressure = 2834 psi
Pressure at packer exerted by fluid column = - 2075 psi
Theoretical allowable annulus pressure = 759 psi
6.) Mix and pump 90 bbls of H20/ 0-347 Gel mixture followed by, +_~33 sx of
class "G" cmt with additives, down tubing and up the casing and tubing
annulus. Monitor the ll ~4" X 7" annulus during this step. (A balance
plug will be set with the 333 sx from 55i1' to 30~2'. See pump schedule
for this Step on Page 2). RECEIVED
7.) RD DS. WOC +12 hours.

2. Fill tbg. w/ diesel if necessary. Press. test tbg. to 2500 psi.
3. RI}tw/ }~ tbg. cutter ~ cut off tbg. tail w/ "$" plug.
4. Rig up portable test seperator ~ test well.
(4 to 6 days testing is programed. If well clem~s up as expected and a
stabilized rate obtained, testing Will probably be shortened to 24 to 48 hrs.)
5. Install BPV in tbg. Hove out test equipment.
KU #44-18 is presently perf. in the C-1 Sd. from 5688' to 5728'. T]~ well was last
worked over in December 1963 and is not commcted to a sales line.
It is proposed to install a line from k/J #44-18 to existing gas field facilities.
The above testing is necessary to determine the feaSibility of the line and to
