Although your schematic does not indicate such, only the Alaska Pipeline Company (APC) block valve and the capped water well pipe stand remain exposed. We will, through our contacts with APG and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), determine the future need for the remaining block valve. The reclamation of the West Fork 1-B location by your contractors has been inspected and is approved. We appreciate your assistance and cooperation during these abandonment operations. Subject well was completed as a shut-in gas well 9/60 and was placed in production on 10/24/78. Well has produced continuously except 'for initial hydrate freezing during January, 1979 until it apparently sanded-up and abruptly ceased prOduction 7/25/80. It is proposed to move Brinkerhoff-Signal Rig No. 60, presently stacked in the Kenai yard, to the location and begin work-over operations prior to September 25, 1980. The procedural details involved in the work-over will depend largely upon determination of the condition of the downhole equipment including casing, tubing and production packer. Assuming production ceased due to cement failure and sanded-up due to formation water encroachment or coning, which has not been definitely established, the existing per- forations (4990' - 5020') will be squeezed and reperforated over a slightly reduced interval. Work-over fluid will be KCL and HEC polymer additive. Specific details of the Work-over test results and production performance will be provided in the subsequent report(s).
