Displaced with 95 cu. ft. mud. Cement in place 1:00 A.M. No cement returns to surface. Cemented 17~" x 13-3/8" annulus': Pumped in 6 sacks ~construction cement. In place at 1:30 A.M. Reduced and drilled 7-5/8" and spot cored 6" hole 525-1227'. 116-525' Sandstone and siltstone 525-535' Core ~1 - Recovered 1' 1' Sandstone, light to medium gray,'very fine to fine grain, firm to hard, micaceous, occasionally slightly calcareous, with dark gray, micaceous, interlaminated very fine sandy si!tstone, dip 75° good, calcite filling in recemented fracture planes, bright white fluorescence from calcite on fracture fillings, NCSO. 535-1077' Sandstone and siltstone 1077-1086' Core ~2- Recovered 3' 3" Igneous rock, diorite (?) subrounded cobble 2'9" Siitstone, sandy, light to dark gray, hard, slightly micaceous, car- ~ bonaceous, with streaks thinly interlaminated gray, very fine, firm to hard, calcareous, silty sandstone, dip 25-30°, good, very weak spotty dull orange fluorescence, NCS0. 1086-1227' Siltstone November 25, 1961: Opened 7-5/8" to 12~" hole 525-630'. November 26, 1961: 8-5/8" C 616': Ran and cemented 601' net 8-5/8" 3~ J-55 Smls, 8 rd. thd., ST&C casing at $16' K.B' with 300 sacks construction cement treated~with 2% CaC1o. Mixing time 20 mins. Displaced with 192 cu. ft. Bumped top rubber plug with 250~. Ha~~ good cement returns at surface. Cement in place at 4:45 A.M. Landed casing and ~installed BOPE. Tested CSO, Hydril and drill pipe rams with 800~ for 30 mins. - O.K. Drilled 7-5/8" and spot cored 6" hole 1227-6019' the total depth which was reached on January 15, 1962. 1227 -1646' 1646 -1656' Sandstone and siltstone Core ~3 - Recovered 10' 10' Sandstone, light to medium gray, salt and pepper, very fine grain, sub angular, poorly sorted, firm, silty, slightly micaceous, contains few pyrite grains, massive except for bottom 1½ feet which are thinly laminated and contain numerous layers of dark gray siltstone. Dip: 15- · 20° on laminations in lower 1½ feet; rated good. P & P: tight. NCSOF. Indicated upright section, rated fair. Dip: Generally' 15-20` on laminations, rated good. ~Dip runs .up to 35°'locally due to cross-bedding. P & '?: Tight. NCSOF. 3½-' Siltstone, medium to dark gray, firm, sandy. .Laminated with sandy, layers up to ½" thick. .Slightly fractured; contains white calcite veins 'in fracture'a. Moderate amount pyr'ite, slightly glauconitic (?). Dip: Variable, 15-30° rated fair. · P & 'P: Tight. NCSO, white-yellow fluorescence 'from calcite.. Sandstone and siltstone Core ~5 - .Recovered 5' 5' Siltstone, dark gray, firm, very sandy. Faintly laminated with sandy layers. Highly fractured with white calcite filling some fractures; slickensides on fracture surfaces. .Dip: 80-90' on laminations. Rated fair. .P & P: Tight. NCS0, yellow-white fluorescence from calcite. Sandstone and siltstone Core ~6 - -Recovered 5' Siltstone, dark gray, generally firm, soft in part, slightly sandy, very slightly micaceous.. Massive with faint but definite alignment of sandy zones 'in part. Moderately to highly fractured; top l½ ft. sheared. ~ Fractures .filled with white :calcite; slickensides on fracture surfac, es. Dip: -60-70° 'on alignment of sandy zones. .Rated fair. .P & P: Tight. No cut or stain. Bottom ½ ft. burned in core barrel and has a rotten marshy odor. Yellow-white fluorescence from calcite. Sandstone and siltstone Core ~7 - Recovered 4' 4' Siltstone, gray, extremely argillaceous, basal two feet thinly laminated, slightly micaceous, scattered thin calcite filled fractures, no cut, stain, odor, or fluorescence, dip 55-80°, rated as good. Sandstone and siltstone Core ~8 - Recovered i0' 10' Silts.tone, dark gray to black, extremely argillaceous, slightly micaceous, has a few fracture planes dipping 60° with slickensides indicating dip slip movement, no cut, stain, odor, or fluorescence. Dip 85-90° , rated as good. Sandstone and .siltstone Core ~9 ~- Recovered 3' 3' Sandstone, gray, very fine grained, argillaceous .and tight, irregular carbonac, eous streaks, minor contorted bedding, scattered vertical fractures, no stain or odor, but dull reddish yellow fluorescence throughout and local bright yellow fluorescence along some fractures - which yields a yeilow fluorescing colorless cut. Dip 20` - good. Sandstone and siltstone Core ~10 - Recovered 7' 7' Siltstone, dark gray, firm, slightly micaceous. Massive, rare fracture filled with white calcite. Dip: 40° on 1 inch zone which is faintly laminated, rated fair. ~P & P: tight. NCSO, yellow fluorescence from calcite. Core was seeping a very small amount of gas when recovered.
