Dear Don:
I am sending You today ,by parcel post, three packages containing
processed samples from the Richfield Kaliakh No.1 well", In one package
are the washed lithology samples covering the deprb from 1610 to 7400 feet
and in the next one You will find the lithology samples from 7400 to 10.990
feet. In the third package are the washed and picked w.icrofossi1 samples
to a depth of 10.990 feet.
Also today I am sending by reg'Lstred Air Mail a parcel with
109 microfossil slides with microfossils picked from that well.
As soon as I finish washing and picking the rest of samples from
this well, there were more than a thousand of them,I will send them too.

Siltstone, dark gray, hard, very poorly sorted,
with random, generally angular saud to pebble
size frm~nts scattered throughout. These
fragments are generally igneous and metamorphic,
gray or green in color, also rare, hard, gray,
sandstone fragments. Thin, light gray, discon-
tinuous silty stringers give good, but irregular
dips of 18-35e , the best dips are 30-35°. Dips
on fractures are 15-25'. No shows.

On N~y 26, 1960, ran fermmtion, tester on 6~' x ~-3/4" O.D.D.O.' s on 2~" 6.5~ E.U.
tubing; Jars, safety Joint, shutiu-reversiug tool amd inside recorder above packer;
left hand and expansion Joint Below; 4500' water cushion, '5/8" tool opening. Set
hookwm~ packer at 13205', 2~" perf'd tail includiug outside recorder extending to
13252'° ~enea tool at 5:32 A.~ for a 4 hr. 18 min. flow test. Had a puff blow
then dead .for 1 hr. 46 rains. Cracked ~ypass and lhad puff blow then dead for 1 hr.
Drained slight water head in flow lines and had weak Blow for balance of test.
Pulled loose at 9:'50 A.~L and recovered ~1' net rise of watery mud to m~ddy salty
water (230-590 G/G). Charts showed tester open with partial plugging, last 1 hr. 30 rains.
Outside recorder, showed:
Set magnesimm retainer at 13~4' and tested same with 2500 psi - O.K-.
On ~ay 27, 1960, ran fomation +~ster on 64' x 4-3/4" O.D.D.t.'s on 2'~" 6.~ E.U..
tubing; jars, safety joint, shutin,reversing tool and inside recorder above packer;
left hand and expansion ~oint beI(~; ~500' water cushion, 5/8" tool opening. Set hook-
wall packer at 12835', 2~2" perf'd tail including outside recorder extending to 12882'.
Opened tool at 8:39 A.~ for a 13 hr. 49 min. flow test.' Ha~ mn altern~t~ light and
weak blow for 4 hrs.. 21 rains. Swabbed for 8~ hours with swabbing depth 3800' (e~ uld

11394'. Opened tester at 5:02 P.M~ for a Si hr. flow test. Had a light steady blow
for 5 rains, then dead for 1 hr. `$ rains. Cracked bypass and had a light blow for
5 rains, then dead for balance. Pulled loose at 8:02 P.M~ and recovered `$60' net
rise of mud (240 G/G). Charts showed tester operated properly and indicated no
fluid emtry (No build-up of flow pressures). Outside recorder showed: Tw~ 6560~,
