The entire sample cut from each depth interval was used due to their sparse pollen content. Two paly- nologic smears were prepared from most of the sample cuts. Screened slides were not prepared because of insufficient sample size. Cities Service greatly appreciate the opportunity to utilize the well materials and facilities provided by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Conm~ission. Mixed in 1 hr. 25 min. displaced in 65 minutes with 1670 cu. ft. mud. Used 270 bbls. mixing water, average slurry 115#. Preceded with 15 bbls. water and no bottom plug. Bumped top plug with 1000 psi. Full cir- culation and good cement returns. Cement in place at 1:00 A.M. 1-20-66 Used Halliburton truck equipment. Displaced with rig pumps. Hookload weight before cementing 129,000~. The well is planned to be a deep test to approximately 15~000' and is located on a separate geologic structure approximately 8 miles southeast of the Swanson River Field. Coastal Drilling Company has been awarded the drilling contract and will ~use their drilling rig which completed the Standard- Richfield Birch Hill Unit 22-25 gas well in June 1965. The rig is currently being moved from the Birch Hill location about 3 miles north of the Swanson River Field, It is anti- cipated that the Napto~me well will be spudded shortly after the first of the year. The Surface location will be approximately 800' North and 1700' East from the southwest corner of Section 8, Township 6 North, Range 8 West, S.M. The area has been given unit designation approval as the proposed Naptowne Unit by both the State of Alaska and the United States Geological Survey. Standard will be operator of the proposed unit. Grading of three miles of road at the location is being completed.
