I spoke with several local residents concerning the locations whereabouts and no one knew of any locations located in the area of the maps I had. I spoke with one gentleman who told me that he had hunted all in the area extensively, and he had not seen any sign of the locations. This area has been sold and subdivided and there are a lot of homes in the area. Marshall, Jr.. petroleum Supervisor ~ DATE : SUBJECT: March 29, 1966 Field Trip Report, March 25, 1966- Wallace Mining Company ~i-A Walker-Neet Cable tool had been removed from location. It is reported that these toole? were sold to Sam Cotton, a water well driller from Eagle River. A rotary rig had been erected on the location. The mast was purchased from A~chorage Gas and Oil Company and the draw works and mud pumps came from Canada. No b~w out preventers had been installed. Three inch drill pipe was on location. Formerly 2 1/2" drill pipe had been used. We must check to see that the preventers when installed will close around the 3" drill pipe. The operator was drilling a mouse hole but had not drilled any new hole in the 1-A hole. The tool pusher's n~ae was ME. Folter.
