This marker is situated on a gravel pad which supports another active well #SCU 13-34. On the bottom of the marker post there is a dent which may have happened from snow removal equipment striking it. I attempted to move the post but found it to still be quite solid. The following Info was on a 6" marker post: Arco Alaska Inc. A-028990 SCU 34-33 200' FSL + 1940' FWL Sec. 33, T 8N, R 9W ,SM. SCU 34-33 is a quadruple packer single selective completion and is currently shut-in (see attached schematic for more detailed wellbore information.) In October 1986 high production casing pressure was noted and attempts were made to remedy the appare~---~-~"tu~L~nnulus communication. The valves in GLM #2, #3, and #4 were pulled and replaced with dummies. The production casing pressure would not bleed down after this work. Next, GLV #1 was pulled. Only 3/4th of the GLV was recovered, leaving the bottom ¼th in the pocket. A modified dummy valve was installed in the mandrel in March, 1987 but commu- nication was not eliminated between tubing and production casing. Several attempts were made in April/March to clean-out with a coiled tubing unit to a PS plug set in the S-2 nipple at 10,485'± and test the H8-10 sands. The cleanouts were successful, but wireline attempts to retrieve the PS plug were unsuccessful. A dummy valve was left on top of the PS plug. The well was killed thru the GLM at 10,214' with a 20 bbl CaCO_ pill and 9.3 ppg brine. Last reported pressures were PC=150 psi, Tubing=25~ psi. The PC/SC~packoff is leaking, there is a tubing hole at 10,373' below the top packer, and there is tubing/production casing communication. It is proposed to P&A the well without recovering any tubulars. The open zone will be squeezed off through a cement retainer set in the tubing, and a ±1000' cement plug will be left in the tubing and the tubing x production casing annulus above the top packer. A 300' surface cement plug will be placed in all strings of pipe, and the wellhead removed and a P&A marker installed. Please see the attached General Procedure and Proposed Final Wellbore Schematic for more detailed information. The regulation abandonment marker on SCU 34-33 will also identify the surface location of SCU 13-34. In the event 13-34 were to become a P&A candidate, the SCU 34-33 P&A marker will contain the pertinent information. The BLM must be given sufficient notice so they can witness the setting and testing of plugs, the capping of the well and the placement of the P&A marker. s~/44 ih P & A PROCEDURE SWANSON RIVER FIELD SCU ~34-33 1. Check and record all wellbore pressures. Well should be dead. Attempt to bleed-off surface casing pressure. RU pump to tubing and establish injection rate/pressure into open perfs. Do not exceed 3000 psi. 2. RU slickline. GIH and perforate circulating holes (f/10,235'-10,239') (4' @ 4 spf). Make gauge ring run (1.80" minimum) to 10,214'. Length and OD's of gauge ring run should approximate tool string while running cement retainer. 3. RU WL. GIH and set 2-3/8" cement retainer @ _+10,200'. POH & RD WL. 4. RU a coiled tubing unit. MU seal ass'y stinger for 2-3/8" cement retainer on coiled tubing. 5. GIH w/stinger. Cir¢ @ ½-3/4 BPM w/9.3 ppg brine while GIH to load 2-3/8" tubing if required and to keep stinger clear. 6. Sting into cement retainer @ _+10,200'. Establish circulation and be. sure tubing x production casing annulus is full of 9.3 ppg NaC1 brine. 7. RU cementers. Mix and pump 130 sx (28 bbls) cement, circulate down coiled tubing taking returns out 5½" production casing. Recommended Cement Slurry: Class 'G' with 0.5% CFR-2, 0.6% Halad 344, 0.2% LWL. Weight: 15.4 ppg Mix Water: 5.5~gal/sx Yield: 1 22 ft~/sx Thickening Time: 5 Hr 5 Min (mixed @ 80°F & 0 psi for 2 hrs, increased temperature and pressure to 180°F & 6500 psi in 1 hr., held at 180OF & 6500 psi for remainder of test) 8. Circulate _+77 sx (_+17' bbls of slurry) up into 2-3/8" x 5½" annulus. Shut in annulus and attempt to squeeze 34 sx (_+7 bbls of slurry) into perfs. Attempt to maintain less than 2000 psi squeeze pressure. Do not exceed 3000. Note: When squeezing through the retainers, it is recommended to slack off ±3000 lbs. of weight to prevent pumping out of seal bore. 9. Sting out of retainer. Spot 19 sx (_+4 bbls slurry) cement on top of retainer leaving top of cement 1000' above cement retainer. 10. POH with coiled tubing. Displace 2-3/8" tubing with 9.3 ppg brine while POH to ensure it is full of kill weight fluid. Maintain 1000 psi positive pressure while POH and leave on when well is S. I. 11. RD CTU. Shut in well for 24 hours at least. Monitor pressures to ensure it is dead (including surface casing - if it is not dead at this time notify office and suspend P&A operations). 12. Pressure test prod casing and tubing to 1000 for 15 minutes (BLM test). Record any pressure loss. Note: BLM regulations state that the pressure loss in 15 minutes can not exceed 10% of the test pressure. 13. Rig up cementers to 5½" x 13-3/8" annulus. After filling annulus with water and establishing injection rate, precede cement with 200 bbls water at maximum rate, not exceeding 1500 psi. Downsqweeze 173 sx C1 'G' with 2% CaCi~ mixed @ 15.8 ppg, yield - 1.15 ft~/sx, mix water - 5 gals/sx. ~o not exceed 1500 psi. If unable to squeeze, trap 200 psi on annulus and go to Step 15. Note: 173 sx gives ±300' surface plug. 14. Shut in annulus trapping ±200 psi or final squeeze pressure, whichever is less. 15. RU WL. GIH with perf gun and perforate 2-3/8" tubing @ 300'-302' below ground level with 4 spf. Note: If unable to downsqueeze in Step 13, run a powerful enough gun to perf 5½" also. In either case, monitor pressure on 5½" x 13-5/8" to see if 5½" was perf'd. 16. RU cementers. Mix and pump 28 sx C1 'G' with 2% CaCi~ mixed @ 15.8 ppg down tubing taking returns out 5½ casing, leaving a 300' surface plug. Note: If downsqueeze in Step 13 was not possible, circulate 173 sx cement down tubing taking returns out 13-5/8" x 5½" annulus first. 17. Release all pressures. 18.
