As near as could be de~e~ained from the air, all trash and Jur;x had either been buried and/or removed from the we'll location, and surplus pipe, lnnnkar and other ~mteri~I had b~en placed in nuat piles som~ several feat from t he abando~nt ~=rker. The surplus ~ctertal on the well l=:ation is to be r~oved by avl,con- tractor (Earth }~oving and Construction, Ina.) after freeze up ~e J~.ow~y hut, stove and re~ini~g fuel are to r~mtn on lccation for possible use for anyon~ ~n distress in the i~m~d~te .',-'rea. The snmll amount of surplus lumbar and oil barrels neatly piled on the ccre hole location are of no consequence. Recent verification with our crews in the area has indicated that the rig and equipment have been moved out and the location has been Cleaned. This was the proposed additional abandonment ~ork which we noted on our Notice of Intention to Abandon dated June 7, 1960. The dalay was occasior~d by necessity for frozen ground in order to move equipment. .The Pan American N~patuk Creek core hole No. 1 was completed on October 25, 1959, and our subsequent report of abandon- ment was sent 'to the U. S. Geologic~. Survey in Los Angeles April 6, 1960. The No. 2 core hole was completed April 7, 1960, and the subsequent report of abandonment was submitted to your office J~u~e 7, 1960. Install adequate blowout prevention equipment and maintain in good condition at all times. Rams should be tested occasionally by opening and closing and against pressure. All pertinent data, including electrical logs, directional surveys, core descriptions and analyses, stratigraphic and faunal deter- minations, formation tests, and similar information shall be submitted in duplicate. Electrical logs and similar surveys and the results of formation tests should be submitted as soon as the records are avail- able. Other data not previously submitted shall be included in or submitted ~ith the log and history. 6. Notify the district engineer in advance of formation or Mater shut- off tests. Before the production string is cemented or the hole abandoned, the district engineer shall be notified and allowed sufficient time to examine cores, electric logs or other records. 8. All rigs or wells shall be permanently marked in a conspicuous place Mith the name of the operator, the lease serial number and the number and location of the Mell.
