E-32A is currently shut in for marginal GOR due to moderate gas production with low oil rate. E-32A is a horizontal Z1 B well that was coil sidetracked in October of 2000. While drilling the sidetrack two mapped faults were crossed. The faults at 12,200' with 20' to 35' of throw, and 12,960' with 15' to 18' of throw were drilled without any fluid loss and some minor sticking problems on the second fault. The second to bottom set of perfs (13022'-13262' md) were shot in a tip out zone of a fault. Partial lost circulation was encountered from 13,525' to TD (13,655') with losses amounting to 150 BBLS into the formation. The well POPed producing 2,975 bopd at a GOR of 546. The wells gas rate quickly increased and by early 2001 had leveled out at ~20 mmscfpd. As the wells oil production continued to decline, E-32A reached MGOR in January 2002 and started to cycle. The reason for the sidetrack is that under current operating conditions E-32A is not a competitive well and receives less then 15% on-time. Adding additional perforation footage near the mapped faults was considered but due to limited add pert success in the past and the probability that these intervals were already being drained through existing perforations we decided to move on with a CST. REASON FOR SUNDRY: In order to achieve adequate isolation for the 2-3/8" liner cement job on the E-32B sidetrack, it will be necessary to abandon all the perforations in the existing parent well bore. Pre-CT Rig Work: 1. MIT-IA - to 3000psi 2. MIT-OA - to 2000 psi 3. Drift for 2-3/8" CIBP down to 11,500'. 4. Drift for 3-1 /2" Cement retainer down to 11,325' (TOL). 5. Dummy all GLM's 6. Run 3 1/2" cement retainer and set at 11,270' MD. 10. Pump cement for cement packer with coil tubing. 11. Drift well for whipstock to top of cement retainer at 11,270'. ~~~~ c~~w ~G-~'~O ,,~ ~ ~ ~j~~~ 12. MIT- IA; MIT-T to confirm good cement packer. ~~.=~ ~ 13. The E-32a sidetrack will access lower Zone I reserves to the east. This sidetrack will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1: Set IBP with cement plug on top. Mill window off of cement ramp whipstock. Planned for week of September 18, 2000. · Service coil will set an IBP at 11740' and spot 12 Bbls of cement on top to P&A the wellbore and provide a kick off plug for the cement ramp window. · Service coil will mill the window off of a cement ramp with the kick off point at approx. 11550'md Phase 2: Drill and Complete sidetrack: Planned for Sept 24, 2000. Drilling coil will be used to drill and complete the directional hole as per attached plan. The sidetrack will be completed with a cemented 2 3/8" liner that will overlap the existing 7" liner and 3 Y2" tubing tail by approx. 200 ft above the window. The top of 2 3/8" liner is planned to be approx.11350' MD with the cement brought to the top of the liner. Approx. 14 bbls cement will be used for this liner cement job. Mud Program: · Phase 1: Seawater · Phase 2: Seawater and FIo-Pro (8.5-8.9 ppg) Disposal: · No annular injection on this well. · All drilling and completion fluids and all other Class II wastes will go to Grind & Inject. · All Class I wastes will go to Pad 3 for disposal. Casing Program: · 2 3/8", 4.6#, L-80, FL4S cemented liner will be run from TD to approx. 11350' MD. Top of liner cement will be at approx. 11350' MD. Well Control: · BOP diagram is attached. · Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 3500 psi. · The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2500 psi. Directional · See attached directional plan · Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run. RECEIVED Logging · An MWD Gamma Ray log will be run over all of the open hole section. · A memory CNL/GR/CCL will be run after liner is cemented. Hazards · E pad is a Iow H2S area.
