Aori!,20. 200t' I traveled to BPXs K Pad and witnessed the 30-day retest of the safety valve systems. As the attached AoGCc Safety Valve System Test Report indicates I witnessed the testing of 1:.l..'~.'~llS. .and. ,22... components with. 3.failures. The pilots on wells K-06, K- 07 and K-09 tripped below the required set point. The pilot on well K-09 was retested and operated prOperly. Wells K-06 and K-07 normally flow into the 10w,. pressure system (at 200 to 300 psi) but were recently switched into the high- pressure system.. ITEM 1: Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. ITEM 5-' Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 16 AND 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. ITEM 21: Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). ITEM 23: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 27: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, Other-explain. ITEM 28: If no cores taken, indicate 'none'. If Class I wastes are generated, they will be taken to Pad 3 disposal site. Bottom hole pressure in the target sand is 3,497 psi at 8,735' TVDss (estimated) or 7.7 EMW. The overbalance with 8.8 QuickdrilN is 500 psi, or 1.1 PPG. This is the highest bottom hole pressure expected in the wellbore trajectory. Maximum shut-in casing pressure is 2,624 psi (assumes 0.1 psi/ft gas gradient to surface). Drilling Discussion Well Objective Th~ Pad K development seeks i'~, exploit the target Gravity Dralnage(m the base of Zone 1 with well K- 20A and to leave the well set up for additional sidetracks into the surrounding area. The trajectory of the well is to expose as many basal mouth bar deposits, allowing gravity drainage from fluvial and distributory channels above. The area is large and "relatively" unfanlted and seismic data quality is excellent. Recoverable OIP in place is estimated at 1.19 MMSTB, with an initial recovery 3000 BOPD. The objective of the well is to drill an essentially horizontal section through Zone 1 basal sand and follow the structure, optimizing standoff from gas, HOT, and Kavik. This well path optimizes exposure to the base of Zone 1 above the HOT, standoff from GOC and faults from good cement zonal isolation. The well path crosses 3 potentially small faults at-10,750, 11,200, 11,750 MD. Drillin~ Objective The objective is to chemically cut and pull the existing 4 W' completion tubing at 9100 MD. The 6" whipstock sidetrack will exit the 7-5/8" casing at this point, into the SAG @8210 TVDss, landing into the base of Z1 @8735 TVDss (10,441'MD), with TD of the 6" hole section in the base of Zone 1 at 8735 TVDss and 13,170 MD. Directionally drill with first BHA equipped with MWD/GR/Dir from 9100 to 9600' MD. Second BHA to TD will require full MWD/DIR/GR/Res/Den/Neu for geosteering 6" hole to maximize well placement, measure rock quality, GOC, and presence of faults. The logs will be run under as long as expected good wellbore conditions are maintained. If possible, rotary drill from 9900-10050 MD (expected GOC range; Neu/Den tool requires rotation for accurate readings). Should the quality of the Neu/Den logs be questionable, then a memory CNL will be run after the rig moves off the well and prior to putting the well on production. The target risk is low and confined mainly to structurally small faults and uncertainty of exact GOC. The well will be completed as a Zone 1 producer with a 4 W', L-80, 12.6# liner, (4) GLM's and WOA tailpipe assy. The GLM's will be run at the MDs shown on the attached "Proposed Completion" diagram. DRILLING HAZARDS AND CONTINGENCIES Always have two levels of tested isolation before NU/ND. SIJRFACE CLOSE APPROA(~rI WELL SHUT-INS There is one well which, was flowing water, K-17. It is 30' North of K-20, and if it is not currently shut in, it will need to be shut in during MIRU and RDMO. DRILLING CLOSE APPROACH WELL SHUT-INS No shut-ins identified on Sperry Sun directional well plans due to close approach requirements. HOLE PROBLEMS This well will cross small known faults, with a small predicted possibility for lost circulation, or gas cut mud and gas kicks after crossing any of the faults. The faults are not prognosed to be problematic, however, their depths were identified earlier, and normal precautionary measures will be taken. Lost circulation, if it occurs, will be handled using a comprehensive lost circulation decision tree. All rig personnel should be aware and ready to effectively react to any gas kick potential. Ready to shut in any kicks and weight-up and safely circulate-out the kick. Differential sticking is a possibility while drilling across any of the faults. However, fluid design is such that differential sticking has not been a problem, even when drilling and completing with >2000 psi overbalance. Due to stratigraphic variations, full MWD/LWD logs will be mn to optimize well placement in the 2730' inside the target polygon. Casing Shoe Kick Tolerance The smallest kick tolerance for the kick off window is calculated as infinite of influx assuming a swabbed gas influx at the top of the Sag River along the planned directional path. Based on 8.7 ppg MW (SAG 9,100' MD & 8,210' TVD 7.7 ppg reservoir pore pressure), and min. frae at the window 10.0 ppg. The casing window will withstand complete (gas) evacuation to surface based on predicted pressures. Pre-Rig / Pre-Drill Work 1. RU wireline and retrieve the 4.5" SSSV. Valve nipple is set at 2197'MD. Test 7-5/8" to 3000 psi before cut or retest both IA and tubing after cut. 8. Cut the 4.5" L-80 tbg w/a chemical cutter in the middle of the first full joint of tubing at ~9100'MD for setting the Baker whipstock. Follow recommended practices for successful chemical cuts, including double anchors, and balanced IA/tubing hydrostatic. 9. Displace the tubing and wellbore to 8.5 ppg seawater 10. Freeze protect top 2200'MD with diesel. 11. Bleed tubing and annuli pressures to zero. 12. Set a B PV in the tubing hanger and test from below to 1000 psi. Secure the well 13. Remove the well house and flowlines. If necessary, level the pad. K-17 is within 30' of the K-20 wellhead.
