IT APPEARING THAT:
I. The Union Oil Company of California submitted a petition dated January 16,

2. There are no affected operators.
3. Notice of the hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News on
January 17, 1970, pursuant to Title il, Alaska Administrative Code, Section
2009, but no protest was received.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING THAT the subject we. Il is the fifth well in a
governmental quarter section. Conservation Order No. 57, Rule 4(b~ permits
only four.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING THAT producing this well will effectuate well bore
cleanup and provide reservoir data to determine the feasibility of a pressure
maintenance project for this pool.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING THAT an exception to Conservation Order No. 57,
Rule 4(b), permitting the Union Oil Company of California to produce the
referenced well should be granted because the mechanical limitations of
drilling this high angle directional well prevented the operator from
reaching the programmed bottom hole location.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING THAT correlative rights will not be adversely
affected and there will be no waste.

project, said well will be converted for injection purposes in accordance
wi th the project.
The attached plat shows the property for which the exception is requested
and all,.other completed and drilling wells.
There are no affected operators other than applicant as operator for the
