CONSERVATION FILE NO~
TRADING BAY UNIT
K-30 WELL
Results of testing in the sands above the McArthur River Middle Kenai "G"
Oil Pool described in the subject Emergency' Order indicate it is unnecessary'
at this time to modify the "G" Oil Pool definition or to provide for comming-
ling. The well is being operated in compliance with pertinent existing rules
and regulations.

REQUEST FOR EMERGENCY ORDER TO
ALLOW COMMINGLING IN TRADING
BAY UNIT STATE K-30
Gentlemen:
Pursuant to the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations and applicable
Statutes of the State of Alaska, Union Oil' Company of California, as
Operator for the Trading Bay Unit, requests the Alaska Oil and Gas
Conservation Committee issue an emergency order effective March 20,
1970 to al low commi.ngling in the well bore of production from the
McArthur River Middle Kenai ,,ill, Oil Pool with production from sands
'previously found wet and/or undeveloped in the interval 10,632 feet
to 10,726 feet MD in the Trading Bay Unit State K-30 (44-21) well.
Interpretation of logs run in K-30 on March 16, 1970 indicates these
sands are potentially capable of production. Production pipe is being
run and will be ready for perforation for completion on March 19, 1970.
To prevent wasteof a natural resource, production must be allowed from
these sands as soon as mechanically possible. Therefore, an emergency
requiring immediate action to prevent such waste exists.
Operations beyond the time provided in such an emergency order will be
in conformance with a permanent order, request for' which will be filed
in the immediate future.
Very truly yours,
