The Union Oil Company of California petitioned the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Committee on March 19, 1970 for approval to commingle in the well bore production from the McArthur River Middle Kenai "G" Oil Pool with oil production from sands in the interval 10,632 feet to 10,726 feet MD in the Trading Bay Unit State K-30 well. These sands were wet or undeveloped in previously drilled wells. The company will follow this request for emergency order with a request for a conservation order permit- ting an exception to Conservation Order No. 80, Rule lC, to redefine the McArthur River Middle Kenai "G" Oil Pool. An emergency order is hereby granted pursuant to and in accordance with Section 2012 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations permitting the commingling of the production from the sands. Interpretation of logs run in K-30 on March 16, 1970 indicates these sands are potentially capable of production. Production pipe is being run and will be ready for perforation for completion on March 19, 1970. To prevent wasteof a natural resource, production must be allowed from these sands as soon as mechanically possible. Therefore, an emergency requiring immediate action to prevent such waste exists. Operations beyond the time provided in such an emergency order will be in conformance with a permanent order, request for' which will be filed in the immediate future.
