We propose to drill a directed stratigraphic test hole to a maximum 'depth of 17,500 feet on unleased Alaska lands on Reindeer Island wilth a bottom hole location within a radius of 9200' to the southwest. Surface location is' Latitude 70o - 29' - 11", Longitude 148o - 20' -42". We respectfully request that the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Committee except us from the filing of Such data as are required by Section 2008o Such exception will allow us to organize a group plarticipation program in which any and all interested companies and indi.viduals may Participate On an eqUal share basis. The primary objecti.ve of such a program will be to acquire certain geological information which would'not otherWise be available in a remote area of Alaskao E.S.C., Inco has filed a Miscellaneous Land Use Permit application with the Alaska Division of Lands in which provisions have been proposed for eventual public release of the information obtained by this program.
