There were no protests to the application. FINDINGS: · · Open hole completions are commonly used in many oil producing areas. The Atlantic Richfield Company Prudhoe Bay Unit #DS 2-14 well has an open hole completion and the perfor- mance of this well indicates there is no damage to the reservoir and the productivity is as good or better than surrounding wells.,with conventional completions. Conservation Order No. 169 Page 2 CONCLUSION: The requested exception will not damage the reservoir, will not be wasteful, will add to the knowledge of completion techniques for the Prudhoe Oil Pool and could increase the pro- ductivity of the referenced well. NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered that: The Atlantic Richfield Company is exempted from the require- ments of Rule 3(f) of Conservation Order No. 145 to complete the Prudhoe Bay Unit Well No. DS 17-4 with an open hole type of completion.
