Conservation Order No. 272
Endicott Field
Endicott Oil Pool
March 7, 1991
IT APPEARING THAT:
I ·
BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. submitted an application dated
January 30, 1991 requesting an amendment to Rule 7(e) of
Conservation Order No. 202 (CO 202).
·
Notice of Public Hearing on the application was published in the
Anchorage Daily News and the Anchorage Times on February 12,
1991 in accordance with 20 AAC 25.540.
3. No protests to the application were filed with the Commission·
FINDINGS:
I ·
Rule 7(c) of CO 202 requires reporting of gas-oil-ratio (GOR)
test results of Endicott Oil Pool wells on form 10-409 within 45
days of the test.
·
Periodic GOR testing is not the only source of GOR data for
producing wells.
3. Well production tests are required at least once each 30 days.
·
Individual well production statistics are filed with the Commission
monthly. These figures include oil, gas and water volumes from
which a GOR may be determined and reported.
Conservation Order No. 272
March 7, 1991

CONCLUSIONS:
I ·
The data submittal required by Rule 7(c) of CO 202 may be
considered supplemental to the data provided by the monthly
production reports.
e
Elimination of the requirement of reporting periodic GOR test
results of producing wells in the Endicott Oil Pool of the Endicott
Field will not promote waste nor jeopardize correlative rights.
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED THAT:
Rule 7(c) of Conservation Order No. 202 is hereby repealed.

Re: The application of BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. for amendment to
Rule 7 Conservation Order No. 202
BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. by letter dated January 30, 1991
has requested an amendment to Rule 7 (c) of Conservation Order No.
9.02. The amendment would eliminate reporting requirements for gas-oil
ratio (GOR) tests in lieu of GOR data provided in the monthly
production reports.
A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued
may file a written protest prior to 4:00 pm February 27, 1991 with the
Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (hereinafter the
Commission), 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, and
request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed and
raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's
determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above
address at 9:00 am on March 14, 1991 in conformance with 20 AAC
25.540. If a hearing is to be held, interested parties may confirm this
by calling the commission's office, (907) 279-1433 after February 27,
1991. If no protest is filed, the Commission will consider the issuance of
the order without a hearing.

Dear Mr. Johnston,
BP Exploration (Alaska) request an exception to rule 7 (para c),
Conservation Order No. 202. The exception would eliminate the Gas-
Oil Ratio Test (Form 10-409) for Endicott Field and Sag Delta North.
The GOR data would continue to be prOvided in the Monthly
Production Report (Form 10-405).
Sincere~~/ ,.
