No protests were filed with the Commission. FINDINGS: 1. ~ · There are three (3) enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects approved and/or operating in the Prudhoe Oil Pool. Ail EOR projects require periodic reporting of progress. Consolidation of project reporting would save time, effort and duplication due to project overlap. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT Conservation Order 186 be amended to read as follows: The Flow Station 3 Injection Project is approved as an additional recovery method for the 3650 acre portion of the Sadlerochit Reservoir, defined in the record as the Flow Station 3 Injection Project Area. Conservation Ord~ No. 223 January 5, 1987 Page 2 Semiannual reports, in January and July of each year, beginning in January, 1983, through July, 1986 shall be submitted. Annual reports will be submitted by the first of September each year, beginning in 1987, and continuing until cessation of the pro~.ect, and will include the following: 1. Reservoir pressure. · Volumes (by month and well) of injected gas, injected water, injected low molecular weight liquids, and produced fluids (oil, water, and gas) . 3. Results of production logging surveys. 4. Results of radioactive tracer tests. 5. Results of observation well surveys. Additional information concerning the Flow Station 3 Injection Project may be requested by the Commission. These reports are in addition to present reporting requirements required by Conservation Orders 165 and 208 [and the waterflood program]. The Commission may amend this order..by administrative action. DONE at Anchorage, Alaska and dated January 5, 1987. ~ias~a Oil and Gasf~onservation Commission Lonhie C. H P Foster Senior Vice President Engineering ARCO Alaska, inc P 0 Box 100360 Anchorage, AK 99510'0360 Dear Mr Foster: Please refer to your May 17, 1988 letter requesting, on behalf of the Prudhoe Bay Unit (PBU) working interest owners, an amendment to Conservation Order No. 223. The request is to amend the 3650-acre Flow Station 3 Injection Project (FS3IP), initially established for the Sadlerochit light oil column interval, of the Prudhoe Oil Pool, to include within the project the overlying Sag River interval of the Prudhoe Oil Pool. As a result the pore volume of the FS3IP will be increased by 65 million reservoir barrels (RB) to a total of 992 million RB. The original oil in place for the revised project was approximately 410 MMSTB. The Commission has reviewed the information Provided and con- eludes that the requested amendment neither substantively nor significantly alters the project as originally approved in November, 1982. The proposed changes to the FS3IP appear prudent and project viability and integrity are maintained. NOW, THEREFORE, Conservation Order 223 is amended to read: The Flow Station 3 Injection Project is approved as an additional recovery method for the 3659-acre portion of the Sadlerochit [RESERVOIR] and Sag River Intervals within t.he Prudhoe Oil ~ define~'~'~'i-~%'i{~-~e-60~d~ ~a~'~e~'~"Fi~ow ~S ta't~o~n 3 ~-i~]e~6ti6r/~c t Area.. . Mr. H. P. Foster Senior Vice President Exploration & 'Production ARCO Alaska,.Inc. P. O. Box 100360 Anchorage, AK 99510-0360 Dear Mr. Foster: By letter dated Dec.ember 8, 1986, ARCO Alaska, Inc., on behalf of the Prudhoe Bay Unit (PBU) working interest owners, requested~ amendments to the findings and conclusions set forth by Conservation Order No. 186. The requested amendments result from a revision of volumetric determinations due to improved structural control obtained by drilling since the August, 1982 Application. The Commission has reviewed the information provided, and concludes that the requested amendments do not have a significant impact upon the viability of the FS3IP. Accordingly, Finding No. 4 and Conclusion No. 2 of Conservation Order No. i86 are amended as follows: Finding ~ Reservoir simulation mo'del studies indicate that about 5.5% of the original oil in place, or 22 [24] MM bbls, may be recovered over and above that p~-~jected by primary and conventional waterflood as a result of the Flow Station 3 Injection Project. Administrative Approval No. 223.1 January 7, 1987 Page 2 Conclusion ~ The Flow Station 3 Injection Project could increase recovery from the specific area by up to 22 [24] ~ bbls of oil beyond that predicted by primary and conventional waterflood. Smith Commissioner BY ORDER OF THE COMMISSION jo/3.AA223.1 Notice of Public Hearing STATE OF ALASKA Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Re: The application of ARCO Alaska, Inc. and Standard Alaska Production Company to amend Conservation Order 186 and Conservation Order 208 for Prudhoe Oil Pool. ARCO Alaska, Inc. and Standard Alaska Production Company by letter dated November 24, 1986 and December 8, 1986, have re- quested changes to Conservation Orders 186 and 208. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued may file a written protest with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conserva- tion Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is filed timely and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to' t~'~ Commission's determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at th'e above add~eSs at 11:00 AM on January 19, 1987 in confor- mance with 20 AAC 25.540.
