By letter dated August 19, 1986, ARCO Alaska, Inc., on behalf of itself and the Lisburne Owners, requested the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to expand the boundary for the Lisburne Oil Pool Rules to include Section 29, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. · Notice was published in the Anchorage Daily News on August 28, 1986 of an opportunity for a public hearing on September 29, 1986. · Neither a protest nor a request for a public hearing was timely filed. Accordingly, the Commission will, in its discretion, issue an order without a public hearing. FINDINGS: 1. · · Conservation Order No. 207, dated January 10, 1985, amended the boundary for the'Lisburne Oil Pool Rules without including Section 29, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. A major fault called the Prudhoe Bay Fault controls the northern limits of the Lisburne Oil Pool. Recently revealed geologic data and interpretations indicate that the Prudhoe Bay Fault may cut across the southeast corner of Section 29 within the Lisburne Oil Pool. Conservation O~r No. 218 September 18, 1986 Page 2 CONCLUSION: · The Lisburne Oil Pool may extend beneath a portion of Section 29, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. · The boundary for the Lisburne Oil Pool Rules should be expanded to include Section 29, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT the following described area be included within the boundary for the Lisburne Pool Rules and made a part of the "affected area" established by Conser- vation Order No. 207. The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has been requested, by letter dated August 19, 1986, to issue an order to include Section 29, Township 12 North, Range 14 East, Umiat Meridian within the boundary of the Lisburne Oil Pool as de- scribed in Conservation Order No. 207. Parties who wish to protest the granting of the referenced request are allowed 15 days from the date of this publication in which to file a written request for a hearing. The place of filing is the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501. If a protest and request, for hearin.~..is timely filed, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00"AM on September 29, 1986 in conformance with" 20 AAC 25.5~0.
