Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of GPB DS -02 a O ac-
Dear Mr. Maunder,
Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from GPB DS-
02 that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus.
The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space
and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere.
The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of
cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor.
As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as
notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404,
Report of Sundry Operations.

All,
Well 02-328 (PTD #2020230) has been found to have sustained casing pressure on the IA. The TIO's
on 07/31/05 were 2350/2330/vac. The well failed a TIFL on 7/31/05 on overnight build up rate.
The plan forward for this well is as follows:
1. DHD: TIFL - FAILED
2. SL: Caliper Tbg, Run DGL Vs in sta# 3 & 2
3. DHD: Re-TIFL

The permit to redrill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law
from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all
other required permitting determinations are made.
Annular disposal has not been requested as part of the Permit to Drill application for Prudhoe
Bay Unit 02-32B.
Blowout prevention equipment (DOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25 035.
Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) must be given to allow a representative of the
Commission to witness a test ofBOPE installed prior to drilling new hole. Notice may be given
by contacting the Commission petroleum field inspector on the North Slope pager at 659-3607.

For production hole drilling, well control equipment consisting of 5000 psi working pressure pipe rams
(2), blind/shear rams, and annular preventer will be installed and will be capable of handling the

S 3. Dump bail 25' of cement on the CIBP: 6780' - 6755'.
E 4. Jet cut the 3-1/2" tubing (and chemical line) above the TOC at + 6750'.

Sidetrack Procedure
1. MIRU Doyon 16.
2. Circulate out freeze protection fluid and circulate well to clean seawater.
3. Set TWC. ND tree. NU and test BOPE to 250/3500 psi.
4. Pull and LD 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" tubing and W'lines to the cut at:t 6750' MD.
5. RIH with an 8-1/2" flat-bottom mill, boot baskets and a 9-5/8" casing scraper on 5" DP. Clean out the
casing to 6750'. Circulate the hole clean and displace with mud. POOH.
6. RU E-Line and lubricator. Run a GR-JB to 6750'. Set a CIBP at:t 6722' MD but make sure that a 9-5/8"
casing collar does not interfere with milling the window.
7. RIH. Orient and set the Baker bottom trip whipstock on the CIBP at 6722'. Mill the window and rat hole,
Circulate the hole clean. Perform FIT to 12 ppg EMW. POOH.
8. RIH and drill the 8-1/2" build section at 1 0°/1 OOft as directed. Drill the hold section to the T/SAG at + 8500'
MD (8331' TVD). Condition the hole to run the 7" liner. POOH. -
9- Set & cement a 7" liner from 8500' to:t 6550' MD. Displace the liner with mud. Set the liner hanger. Set
the ZXP packer. Circulate the hole clean. POOH.
10. RIH with 6-1/8" x 4-3/4" BHA on a tapered drill string. Test the liner top to 3000 psi. Change out to 8.6
ppg mud while drilling out the 7" shoe and 5' of new formation. Circulate the hole clean and perform an
FIT to 10.5 ppg. Trip for BHA, M/M, LWD, etc.
11. Drill the 6-1/8" build section and land at:t 90° in B/Zone 1 as directed. The landing point is 8916' TVD.
12. Continue drilling the 6-1/8" lateral in zone 1 as directed, The planned TMD is 11391'.
13. Condition the hole to run the liner. Set & cement a 4-1/2" liner from TD to +/- 8350' MD. Displace the liner
with "Perf Pill", Set the 7" x 4-1/2" liner hanger. Set the ZXP packer. Circulate the hole clean. POOH.
14, Optional: make a liner clean out trip to ensure access to PBTD. POOH Lay down excess DP.
15, PU DPC perforating guns. RIH and space out. Perforate as directed. Circulate bottoms up. Flow Check.
POOH. LDDP and perforating guns. Keep the hole full at all times. Check for proper fill up.
16. Run the 4-1/2",12,6#, L-80 completion with a 7" S-3 packer and standard completion jewelry.
17. Displace the lA, space out and set the packer. Test the tubing to 4000 psi. Test the IA to 3000 psi.
18. Set BPV. ND BOPE. NU and test the tree to 4000 psi. Freeze protect to :t 2200'.

>- The kick tolerance for the 6-1/8" production section would be infinite assuming an influx from
the Ivishak formation at 9738' MD (8922' TVD). This is a worst-case scenario based on a 7.22
ppg pore pressure gradient, a fracture gradient of 12.0 ppg at the window, and 8.5 ppg mud.
>- There are no close approach wells for the 02-13B well trajectory. See center-to-center distance
in Directional section above.

Operational Specifics
Drill the initial 6-1/8" tangent section and final build section with an STX 20 bit dressed with jets:
12/12/12. Run Sverrv's bent-housing mud motor and lWD tools. Drill out in rotary mode to:t
8600' MD (as directed) holding angle and azimuth. Then build angle to horizontal and land the
well in zone 1 at:t 8916' TVD.
. After "landing" the well in zone 1, drill ahead to the proposed TO of 11,391' MD. Make wiper
trips as needed to remove cuttings beds. Rotate as much as possible at:t 100 rpm. Then at
TO. condition the hole for running the liner.
