The coil sidetrack, Z-23AL 1, will exit the 7" liner in the Shublik formation and target Zone 4. Z-23AL 1 will retain production from the parent well, Z-23A, by / completing the new sidetrack with an un-cemented, pre-drilled liner. A retrievable inflatable standing valve will be installed between the whipstock and the existing perfs to isolate and protect the existing perfs while drilling the sidetrack. One possible fault will be crossed in Zone 4 mid-way through the target polygon. Lost circulation is not expected but possible. Real time GR/Resistivity logging will be used for Sw information. Phase 1: Prep work. Planned for May 5-11, 2003 (Form 10-403 is not required for this work) /" 1. Perform an MIT-IA and MIT-OA after all GLV's are dummied off. 2. Use e-line to set an inflatable standing valve at 9100' MD (8710'ss). 3. Use e-line to set a retrievable whipstock at 9076' MD (8687'ss). Phase 2: Mill window, Drill and Complete sidetrack: Planned for May 12, 2003. Drilling coil will be used to mill the window in the 7" liner then drill and complete the directional hole as per attached plan. Maximum hole angle will be 90 degrees.
