The permit to redrill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits or approvals required by law from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all other required permits and approvals have been issued. In addition, the Commission reserves the right to withdraw the permit in the event it was erroneously issued. Operations must be conducted in accordance with AS 31.05 and Title 20, Chapter 25 of the Alaska Administrative Code unless the Commission specifically authorizes a variance. Failure to comply with an applicable provision of AS 31.05, Title 20, Chapter 25 of the Alaska Administrative Code, or a Commission order, or the terms and conditions of this permit may result in the revocation or suspension of the permit. The permit is for a new wellbore segment of existing well PBU Z-30, Permit No 190-23, API 50- 029-22013. Production should continue to be reported as a function ofthe original API number stated above. Blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20AAC 25.035. Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) of the BOPE test performed before drilling below the surface casing shoe must be given so that a representative of the Commission may witness the test. The coil sidetrack, Z-30L 1, will exit the 5 1/2" liner in the Shublik formation and will target Zone 4. / Z-30 was completed in 1990 as a Zone 4 producer. The well is now producing at 300 bopd, 1000 bwpd and solution GOR but this rate is not optimal for MI sweep from the Z-31 i injector. The ~tional1500 ft of reservoir exposure planned for Z-30L 1 is needed for additional offtake in this area. /' The planned sidetrack completion is a 2 7/8" slotted and solid liner crossed over to 3 3/16" solid liner. The liner will be un-cemented and production from the parent, Z-30, will be retained. ,/ Two small faults will be crossed. Lost circulation risk is moderate. Phase 1: Prep work. Planned for between Sept. 15 to Sept. 30, 2002. 1. Dummy all GLM's and perform an MIT-IA. 2. Run caliper over tubing to confirm integrity. / 3. Set a standing valve on an inflatable bridge plug at approx. 14,585' (8812ss) to protect existing Zone 4 perfs. /' 4. Set a flow through whipstock in the 5 W' liner at approx. 14,435 (8728ss). Phase 2: Mill window, Drill and Complete sidetrack: Planned for Oct. 15,2002. Drilling coil will be used to mill the window in the 5 W' liner then drill and complete the directional hole as per attached plan. Maximum hole angle will be 89 degrees. Mud Program: ' · Phase 1 &2: Seawater and 8.6 ppg Flo-Pro I · Phase 3: Mill and drill with Flo-Pro (8.6 - 8.7 ppg) Disposal: · All drilling and completion fluids and all other Class II wastes will go to Grind & Inject. · All Class I wastes will go to Pad 3 for disposal. Casing Program: J The production liner will be a 3 3/16" TC II x 2 7/8" ST-L solid and pre-drilled liner from TD to approx. 13,940' MD (8773'ss). The X-O between 3 3/16" x 2 7/8" will be at 14,515' MD (8773'ss). This liner will be un-cemented. Well Control: · BOP diagram is attached. / · Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 3500 psi. · The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2500 psi. Directional · See attached directional plan. Max. planned hole angle is 89 deg. · Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run. Logging · An MWD Gamma Ray/Resistivity will be run over all of the open hole section. e e Hazards · Maximum recorded H2S on Z Pad is 10 ppm. / · One or two small faults will be crossed. Lost circulation risk is estimated at 30-40 percent. · The measured depth of 16,136' may require the use of a short section of jointed pipe to extend coil reach. Reservoir Pressure Res. pressure is estimated to be 3550 psi at 8900'ss.
