The well was perforated and Frac'd in the Kuparuk A sands and initially completed with an ESP. The well had ESP change outs in 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006. The well was plugged back and sidetracked with three coil tubing laterals (L-02AL2) and cased with 2-3/8" slotted liners in February 2010, and had an ESP installed in March 2010. A successful 7" casing pressure test was performed for 30min (charted) on 12/12/2009 to 2,000psi. The current ESP failed in December 2014. The well has remained shut in ever since. A downhole chemical injection line will be run as part of the new completion. A Scale Inhibition Treatment (SIT) was last performed in July 2012. No subsidence issues are expected in this well. A tubing caliper has been run on 2/3/2015 as part of the rig prep of this well and did not indicate any issues. Notes Regarding Wellbore Condition Current well status is shut in oil producer. No subsidence issue suspected. ✓ RWO Objective: Pull ESP& run 2-7/8" ESP completion with downhole chemical injection. Brief Procedure: 1. MIRU Nordic#3 Rig. 2. 'R CIII\ «� • o7 'e r ///• 'o: Tom Maunder bp Petroleum Engineer Alaska OH & Gas Conservation Commission From: Sean McLaughlin CTD Engineer Date: November 11, 2009 Re: Milne Point L -02A, L- 02AL1, and L -02AL2 PTD request Approval is requested for a permit to drill a multi-lateral CTD sidetrack from well Milne Point L•02. MPL - 02 was drilled 11/16/90 and completed as an "A" sand KUP producer. The well was frac'ed Nov 1990 with 185K# Carbolite behind pipe. The well is seeing some support from MPL -09i with a quick response time but not get getting good sweep. The well is currently online making low oil rate and high water cut. A tri- lateral (MPL -02A, AL1, and AL2) will be drilled to a more optimum location. The sidetracks, MPL -02A, AL1, and AL2, is scheduled to be drilled by Nordic 2 starting January 12, 2010 using the managed pressure drilling technique. The horizontal laterals will target Kuparuk Al, A2, and A3 reserves to capture currently nonrecoverable resources. The perforations in the parent well will be abandoned with cement downsqueezed past the whipstock. The sidetrack lateral will exit the parent well at 7,560' and in the B shale and drill 3 laterals, each targeting a different "A" sand. Slotted liner will be run into each of the laterals. An aluminium liner top billet will facilitate the kick off for the second and third laterals. A liner top packer and solid liner across the build/turn section will slow water production from near the parent well. The following describes work planned. A schematic diagram of the proposed sidetrack is attached for reference. Managed Pressure Drilling Technique The history of CTD at KRU in the Kuparuk reservoir, has demonstrated the benefits of a managed pressure drilling technique. Due to uncertainties about the bottom hole pressures to be encountered as this sidetrack is drilled, managed pressure drilling techniques will be employed on this well. The intent is to provide constant bottom hole pressure by using 8.8 ppg drilling fluid in combination with annular friction losses and applied surface pressure. Constant BHP will be utilized to reduce pressure fluctuations to help with hole stability. Applying annular friction and choke pressure also allow use of lighter drilling fluid and minimizes fluid losses and /or fracturing at the end of the long well bores. A hydraulic choke for regulating surface pressure will be installed between the BOPE choke manifold and the mud pits and will be independent of the BOPE choke. This well does not have a functioning tubing sub - surface safety valve that could be utilized to facilitate BHA deployments and liner running. It is possible that deployment of the BHA under trapped wellhead pressure may be necessary. Pressure deployment of the BHA will be accomplished utilizing the BOP pipe /slips (3" slip rams, see attached BOP configurations). The annular preventer will act as a secondary containment during deployment and not as a stripper. Operating parameters and fluid densities will be adjusted based on real -time bottom hole pressure measurements while drilling and shale behavior. The following scenario is expected for the MPL -02 laterals: • Latest Reservoir pressure in the parent well: 2,353 psi at 7000' TVDSS, 6.5 ppg EMW. • Expected pressure in the new lateral ranges from 2,353 to 3,240psi (6.5 ppg - 8.9 ppg). • Expected annular friction losses while circulating: 450 psi at KOP and 620 psi at TD (assuming 90 psi /1000 ft, for a 2480' lateral). • Planned mud density: 8.8 ppg equates to 3200 psi hydrostatic pressure at the window. • While circulating 8.8 ppg fluid, at the start of the lateral, the bottom hole circulating pressure is estimated to be 3,650 psi or 10.0 ppg ECD. For shale stability an 10.0 EMW will be held while drilling, no back pressure will be applied at surface. • When circulation is stopped, a -450 psi surface pressure will be applied to maintain a constant BHP of 10 ppg EMD. • • At the start of the lateral, the mud in the rig pits will be 8.8 ppg mud. KWF will be stored on location in upright • tanks. The tankage will contain 2 welibore volumes of KWF (11 ppg expected) to exceed the maximum possible BHP to be encountered as the lateral is drilled. CTD Sidetrack Summary Prior to drilling operations a workover rig will lay down the ESP completion and run a 4 -1/2" workstring.
