L3 Dear Tom: To satisfy the mechanical integrity requirements for Granite Point Well No. MUCI - 2 (Permit No. 169- 067), Granite Point Field, Chevron submits the following information to demonstrate the stability of the downhole fluids in the wellbore. Well No. MUCI - 2 is an injector which was shut -in in December 2003 due to a failed MIT. The attached temperature surveys from 8/28/04 and 6/28/05 show steady parallel temperature gradients indicating no movement of the downhole fluids. Chevron requests that the AOGCC, upon agreement with the temperature survey analysis, sign and date the concurrence line below. Please fax a signed copy to Unocal (fax 263- 7847). Chevron will continue to monitor and record daily tubing and casing pressures on the well and provide a report to the AOGCC on a monthly basis. Sunday Au.gust 17~. 1980 I travel~d' this date to union's G.P. Platform to witness the upcoming BOPE test. This equipment was installed to work this H20 injection well over. Monday August 18 1980 Due t~'pr6blems ~i ' ' th the HCR valve, which would not actuate and had to be over hauled and leaks in the B.J.H. pump lines the test did not began until 10~00 am. The annular preventer and the upper pipe rams were tested. The lower pipe rams and the blind rams could not be tested due to the tubing and hanger still being in the hanger spool. The choke manifold on this rig does not meet API standards for 3M rated work. I discussed this wtih Mr. Larry McAllister, Union drilling foreman and then contacted Mr. Blair Wondzell, AOGCC P.E. and discussed the problem with him. He inturn spoke with Mr. Hoyle Hamilton and it was decided waive the API stand- ard on this one job. I informed Mr. McAllister of this decision~ and informed him that this would have to be ~orrected before and wells were drilled. The manifold was test to 3000 psig with 1 leak, which occured in one of the threaded connections. In summary, I witnessed the BOPE test on Union's MUC-I-2. Pursuant to Section 20 of the said Line Well Agreement~ we propose a "subsequent line well" at Granite Point. This well is to be drilled from the M6bil-Union Platform and Mobil is to be designated Operator.
