Corwriission Anchorage . -- . , Daniel Seamount, Chairman Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission 333 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 100 Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3539 DEEP CREEK UNIT HAPPY VALLEY FIELD STATE OF ALASKA 2008 ANNUAL RESERVOIR REVIEW Dear Commissioner Seamount: In accordance with Conservation Order No. 553, Union Oil Company of California, as Operator, respectfully submits the following Annual Reservoir Review for the Happy Valley Field. This is the 4th Annual Reservoir Review. This Review corresponds to events during the 2008 calendar year. The Happy Valley Field has been on production since November 2004. We ask that data provided in Appendix C be kept confidential as it contains proprietary reservoir information that could be used by competitors in the region. Production Update As of December 31St, 2008, the cumulative production from the Happy Valley field is 11,884,053 MCFG and 39,714 BW. Production is from seven (7) wells: a. HV -A01 - Lower Tyonek Producer. 300 psig FTP. b. HV -A02 - Lower Tyonek Producer. Current rate —1.1 MMcf/d & 1 bwpd, at Current rate —0.5 MMcf/d & 7 bwpd, at Union Oil Company of California / A Chevron Company http://www.chevron.com 2008 Annual Reservoir Review Happy Valley Field April 2, 2009 Attached in Appendix A are production plots for each well. Reservoir Pressure There are currently several different formations and numerous sand intervals open to production at Happy Valley. Each interval &/or formation has its own average reservoir pressure. Because the HV -A10 well produces dry gas with no fluid from the Tyonek T-17 and T-10 intervals, it has been an excellent well to monitor reservoir pressure and has been referenced in past Annual Reservoir Reviews. The average reservoir pressure in the Tyonek T-17 and T-10 intervals in the HV - A10 wellbore was estimated to be approximately 1,227 psia, as of 1/1/09. This pressure is based upon combined material balance P/Z versus cumulative gas production data for the T-17 and T-10 intervals and corresponds to the 6700' TVD datum referenced in CO #553. The P/Z versus cumulative gas production plot for T-17 & T-10 intervals is shown in Appendix C. Note that in addition to the pressure measurements from the HV -A10 wellbore, the plot also contains the initial reservoir pressure from the T-17 completion in the HV - B13 well. This HV -B13 pressure falls right on the P/Z versus cumulative gas trend previously established from the HV -A10 production. The Upper Tyonek T-17 interval in the HV -B13 wellbore was completed and tested in June 2008 and was found to have an average reservoir pressure of 1,643 psia (at a reservoir datum depth of 6,700' TVD). Cumulative Production The cumulative gas volumes sub -divided by well and formation, through 12-31- 2008 are as follows: Union Oil Company of California / A Chevron Company http://www.chevron.com 300 psig FTP. c. HV -A08 - Beluga and Upper Tyonek Producer. Current rate —0.6 MMcf/d & 0 bwpd, at 300 psig FTP. d. HV -A09 - Upper Tyonek Producer. Current rate —1.1 MMcf/d & 0 bwpd, at 310 psig FTP. e. HV -A10 - Upper Tyonek Producer. Current rate —2.2 MMcf/d & 0 bwpd, at 340 psig FTP. f. HV -A11 - Upper Tyonek Producer. Current rate —0.1 MMcf/d & 0 bwpd, at 200 psig FTP. g. HV -11313 - Upper Tyonek Producer. Current rate —0.2 MMcf/d & 0 bwpd, at 275 psig FTP. Attached in Appendix A are production plots for each well. The HV -A8 well is also producing from the Upper Tyonek formation. Through downhole measurements, it has been determined that 40% of the gas produced from the HV - A8 is coming from the Beluga formation. Through December, 2008, the cumulative production from the Beluga is 0.551 BCF gas and 30,866 BW. Potential uphole Beluga pay exists in the HV -A9 and HV -A10 wells and may be added as reservoir management allows. Two wells were drilled from Pad B in 2007 (HV -B12 & HV - B13) which both penetrated the Beluga reservoirs. Initial log analysis indicates Beluga pay in both wells but neither well has been completed in the Beluga at the time of this report. Additional offset locations may exist for future development from Pad B. Upper Tyonek - The Upper Tyonek formation is currently open in the HV -A8, HV - A9, HV -A10, HV -A11, and HV -1313 wellbores. The cumulative production from the Upper Tyonek is 7.897 BCF gas and 1,214 BW. Additional potential Upper Tyonek pay exists in both the HV -A9 and HV -A10 wells. The two wells drilled from the B Pad in 2007, HV -1312 & HV -1313, both appear to have pay in the Upper Tyonek reservoirs. As of this report, HV -1313 has been completed in several Upper Tyonek sands and was produced for three (3) months in 2008, prior to facility completion at the B Pad. Additional offset locations may exist for future development from Pad B. Lower Tyonek - The Lower Tyonek formation is currently open in the HV -A1 and HV -A2 wellbores. The cumulative production from the Lower Tyonek is 3.436 BCF gas and 7,634 BW. The Lower Tyonek has been tested in HV -A3, HV -A4, HV -A6, HV -A7, and HV -A11. Economically producible gas in the Lower Tyonek has only been found in wells HV -A1 and HV -A2. One well was drilled in 2007, HV -1312, that penetrated the Lower Tyonek reservoirs. Initial log analysis indicates Lower Tyonek pay but the well has not been completed at the time of this report. Union Oil Company of California / A Chevron Company http://www.chevron.com 2008 Annual Reservoir Review Happy Valley Field April 2, 2009 Pending Projects There are no plans to drill any new wells at Happy Valley during the 2009 calendar year. Work will focus on completing and bringing on line the HV -B12 and HV -B13 wells on the B Pad. One or more of the completions may involve fracture stimulating certain Tyonek intervals. Testing and Monitoring The Happy Valley wells are tested regularly and reported monthly. In addition to the routine wellbore monitoring, a 4 -point modified isochronal test was conducted on the HV -B13 well. This test was conducted on 6/11/08, following the initial completion in the Tyonek T-17 interval. A "Gas Well Open Flow Potential Test Report" was submitted to the AOGCC on 2/23/08. No other shut-in pressure measurements were taken during 2008. Surveys and diagnostic wireline operations conducted during the year are as follows: • HV -A02 - Slickline work and set patches across Tyonek T-80 (successful water shut-off) (Nov. '08) • HV -A08 - Ran production logs looking for water zones (Nov. '08) • HV -B12 - Ran RST log (Nov. '08) • HV -B13 - Ran RST log (Nov. '08) Surface Safety Valve Testing The SSV's were tested on May 5t", 2008 and November 3rd, 2008. These tests were witnessed by Jeff Jones and Bob Noble, respectively for the AOGCC. Currently, the HV SSV's are operating with approved tests on all SSV's. The SSV test results for 2008 are attached in Appendix B.
