Re: 2010 Annual Material Balance Calculations of Production and Injection Volumes
Swanson River Gas Storage Facility #3 (Tyonek 77-3 sand)
Swanson River Field
Dear Commissioner Seamount:
Attached for your review is the annual material balance calculation of production and injection
volumes for the Swanson River Gas Storage Facility #3 (SRGSF #3), as required per AOGCC
Storage Injection Order #6 (SIO #6). SRGSF #3 applies to the Tyonek 77-3 reservoir, which
has had four wells completed in it, SCU 42A-05, SCU 42B-05, SCU 42-05X, and SCU 42-05Y.
This material balance report covers the primary production period (Jul. 2004 — Nov. 2005), as
well as the gas storage operations that have taken place since Dec. 2005.
Attachment #1 is a table of gas production and injection volumes for the SCU 42A-05, SCU
4213-05, SCU 42-05X, and SCU 42-05Y wells, from the commencement of primary production,
through February 22, 2011. Note that the January and February 2011 volumes are estimates
from daily metered values.
Historic reservoir pressure estimates have been obtained primarily through surface shut-in
tubing pressure (SITP) readings, which were then converted to bottomhole pressures. In
addition to the SITP's, downhole pressure gauges have been run several times, to obtain static
bottomhole pressures and/or to conduct pressure transient tests. These data points are
tabulated in Attachment #2 and plotted versus the corresponding net cumulative production on
the standard P/Z plot (Attachment #3).
In September 2010, a pressure fall off test was run on SCU 42-05X. A Schlumberger pressure
transient specialist modeled the results. The analysis output was an average reservoir pressure
of 4765 psi versus the downhole pressure gauge reading of 4916 psi. Schlumberger's model
identified the reservoir behavior as indicative of a dual layer system. With time, the pressure
equilibrated into both layers. This behavior has also been observed in past injection cycles.
Viewing Attachment #3, it has previously been noted that the earlier injection cycle pressures
deviate above the straight line path established from the primary depletion points. The latest
2010 injection and 2010/2011 production cycles mimicked the previously established injection
and production trends, indicating the continued containment of the gas storage volumes.

2010 Annual Performance Report
Page 2
During the peak of the 2009/2010 winter production season (Nov. '09 — Mar. '10), a net total of
442 MMcf of gas was produced from the 77-3 reservoir. From Apr. - Oct. '10, a net total of 464
MMcf of gas was injected back into storage, via the SCU 42-05X and SCU 42-05Y wellbores.
To date (2/22/10) an estimated total of 1,229 MMcf of gas has been withdrawn from storage
(from the 77-3 reservoir) during the 2010/2011 winter season.
If you have any questions regarding this annual performance report, please contact Chantal
Walsh at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Chantal R. Walsh
Petroleum Engineer
