Re: 2011 Annual Material Balance Calculations of Production and Iniection
Volumes
Swanson River Gas Storage Facility #3 (Tvonek 77-3 sand)
Swanson River Field
Dear Commissioner Seamount:
Attached for your review is the annual material balance calculation of production and
injection volumes for the Swanson River Gas Storage Facility #3 (SRGSF #3), as
required per AOGCC Storage Injection Order #6 (SIO #6). This material balance report
covers the primary production period (Jul. 2004 — Nov. 2005), as well as the gas storage
operations that have taken place since Dec. 2005.
The 77-3 reservoir in the Swanson River field was in active use for all of 2011 and was
an important component of total gas deliverability for the Cook Inlet. There are two
active wells that are used for injection and production — 42-05x and 42-05y. Attached
find monthly injection and production data for both wells.
Hilcorp has performed material balance calculations on the 77-3 reservoir to provide
assurance of continued reservoir confinement of the gas storage volumes. Supporting
data is attached in numerical and graphical form for the convenience of the reader. As of
December 31, 2011 the estimated reservoir pressure in the 77-3 was approximately 4400
psig as estimated from the attached chart. Notice that one additional shut-in bottom hole
pressure measurement was made in July of 2011. This data point is plotted with the rest
and conforms to the overall curve, indicating continued confinement of the storage gas.
Sincerely,
HILC9RP ALASKA, LLC
