Alpine Oil Pool Annual Reservoir Surveillance Report
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., (CPAI) as Operator on behalf of the working interest owners of the
Colville River Unit (CRU), submits this Alpine Annual Reservoir Surveillance Report as required
for the Alpine Oil Pool Conservation Order 443C, Rule 8. The Alpine Oil Pool includes the
Alpine Participating Area and the Nanuq Kuparuk Participating Area (PA).
Attachment 1 illustrates the current Colville River Unit boundary, participating areas, and surface
facility pad locations.
A: Progress of Recovery Projects, Alpine Status Update
A total of 163 development wells have been drilled in the Alpine Oil Pool as of January 1, 2018:
148 in the Alpine zone (78 producers, 70 injectors) and thirteen in the Nanuq Kuparuk zone (6
producers, 7 injectors). Two disposal wells are completed in an undefined pool in the Sadlerochit
Group sediments below the Alpine Oil Pool.
Reservoir management of the Alpine Oil Pool in 2018 will attempt to maximize oil rate by: (1)
targeting a pattern level injection/withdrawal ratio of one, (2) managing miscible water alternating
gas (MWAG ) injection to maximize recovery, (3) updating and ranking workover and peripheral
development opportunities for optimum drilling rig utilization, and (4) identifying well stimulation
candidates. MWAG in this document refers to a gas-alternating-water flood using either a miscible
gas or sub-miscible enriched gas. These activities are expected to partially offset existing field
decline.
The following is a summary of the Alpine Oil Pool status as of January 1, 2018.

C: Results and Analysis of Production and Injection Log Surveys, Temperature, Tracer
Surveys, Observation Well Surveys and Special Monitoring
A reservoir pressure survey map is presented in Attachment 2. The 10-412 report of reservoir
pressures is Attachment 3.
The Alpine zone is continuously managed to maintain pattern pressures at the level required for
stable production and optimum EOR performance. Forty static pressure surveys were
performed on Alpine wells in 2017. Downhole pressure gauges are installed in twenty Alpine
production wells. The gauges provide information about flood response and demonstrate
reservoir pressure during shut-in events. Reservoir pressures are also estimated from the
Alpine full field simulation model as well as from inflow performance analyses. Both approaches
are calibrated with actual reservoir pressure measurements collected from static surveys.
D: Future Development Plans
Planned development for 2018 includes:
• 2 Alpine Oil Pool rotary wells at CD5
• 2 Alpine Oil Pool CTD wells at CD4
• Additional wells at CD5 depending on rig usage/optimization

the Nanuq Oil Pool Conservation Order 562, Rules 7(f) and 10.
A: Nanuq Oil Pool Reservoir Pressure Map
Please see Attachment 2 for the 2017 reservoir pressure map.
B: Summary and Analysis of Reservoir Pressure Surveys
Downhole shut-in pressures were obtained in CD4-291 and CD4-211 during 2017. Data from
permanent downhole gauges in CD4-290 and CD4-292 were analyzed to confirm that reservoir
pressure is maintained. Please see Attachment 3 for the 10-412 report of reservoir pressures.
C: Estimates of Reservoir Pressure
Reservoir pressure is estimated to be 2,900 psi at the datum of 6,150’ subsea.
D: Results and Analysis of Production and Injection Log Surveys, Temperature, Tracer
Surveys, Observation Well Surveys and Special Monitoring
CD4-215 is a mature well that showed a slight increase in watercut during 2014-2015, but since
then has stabilized. In 2017, CD4-211 and CD4-298 showed sporadic water production of up to
around 10 bwpd. The newer Nanuq wells have not produced any appreciable amount of water.
E: Estimates of Annual Production and Reservoir Voidage Balance
The tables below summarize average daily injection and production rates, cumulative fluid
volumes, and voidage balance as of January 1, 2018. Nanuq Oil Pool allocated production was

F: Progress of Plans and Tests to Expand the Productive Limits of the Pool
There are currently 23 active wells drilled in the Fiord Nechelik PA (13 producers, 10 injectors).
The Fiord Kuparuk PA currently has five wells in it (2 producers, 3 injectors). The Fiord Pool
plan of development doesn’t include any new wells to be drilled in the 2018 - 2019 timeframe.
The re-drill of the collapsed producer CD3-111 was completed, and the well was put on
production in April 2017.
2017 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 6
Development plans within both Fiord zones continues to be an MWAG flood primarily via line-
drive horizontal well patterns and a few slant wells in the Fiord Kuparuk. Excellent voidage
replacement continues in the Fiord zones, with the current voidage replacement ratio above
unity.
G: Results of Safety Valve System Testing
Results from safety valve system tests performed in 2017 are listed in Attachment 5.
Qannik Oil Pool Annual Reservoir Review
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., (CPAI) as Operator on behalf of the working interest owners of the

2: Summary and Analysis of Reservoir Pressure Surveys
Static pressure surveys were performed in four Qannik Oil Pool wells during 2017. The data are
in agreement with predictions from the numerical reservoir model, which is regularly updated
with field data to guide reservoir management and development activities in the field.
2017 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 7
3: Results and Analysis of Production and Injection Log Surveys, Temperature, Tracer
Surveys, Observation Well Surveys and Special Monitoring
None of these surveys were performed for the Qannik zone in 2017.
4: Review of Production Allocation Factors and Issues
Well test and allocation review shows a total of 213 well tests were used to allocate production
from the Qannik Oil Pool in 2017. See Attachment 6 for a graph of the 2017 CRU allocation
factors.
5: Progress of Enhanced Recovery Projects
The Qannik Oil Pool has been developed at CD2 from nine wells (6 producers and 3 injectors).
The ongoing recovery scheme involves waterflood from inboard injection wells supplemented
with a natural gas cap expansion drive from the east. Waterflood response has been observed
in the Qannik zone, and flood surveillance is ongoing as pressure maintenance and improved
recovery continue.
6. Reservoir Management Summary
Cumulative water injection equates to approximately 13% of the hydrocarbon pore volume of
the developed portion of the reservoir. As would be expected for such an immature flood, water
production remains low at roughly 15% of total liquid production.
