Current plans to sidetrack the subject well will be formally submitted to your attention in the near future. Questions regarding this report should be addressed to B. A. Attached in triplicate is a completed Form 10-401, Application for Permit to Drill for GP 18742 No. 28RD. During the previous workover on GP 18742 No. 28, casing damage was encountered at 8447' and no progress was made to clean out the wellbore below this point. Amco proposes to abandon the current wellbore and cut a section in the 9-5/8" casing in order to redri'll well No. 28 as part of the pressure maintenance project approved by Conservation Order No. 76. A redrill well is crucial in this area of the field in order to maintain adequate waterflood support. Also attached is our company draft number 370055 dated June 27, 1988 for $100.00 to cover the filing fee. The proposed directional program, surface plat, drilling program, drilling time curve, and drilling fluid program along with sketches of the BOP equipment and mud handling equipment are also attached. Operations are scheduled to commence on July 11, 1988. Please contact Kurt Unger in our Anchorage office, 562-2147, extension 211 if you have any questions concerning this application. GP Well No. 28 is cur- rently shut-in because of waterflood breakthrough in offset producers in the C-3 and C-4 zones and because of a sinker-bar fish and 9500' of slick line lost in the well. Our workover plans include the recovery of the fish and slick line, cleanout to PBTD, cement squeezing the C-3 and C-4 zones, reperforating the pay in the C-5 and C-7 zones, and returning the well to injection. This confor- mance workover will result in significant production increases in the offset producers in the C-5 and C-7 zones. We anticipate beginning operations on Well No. 28 on March 1, 1988. BOP Tests, Amoco GP-28 Platform Anna .September-9, .1976_- Departed mY home at 8:00 AM for 8:30 .AM showup and 9:15 AM departure via AAI twin otter to Kenai~ Arrived in Kenai at 9:45 AM, rented a car and drove to the Shel1-Am~co heliport. Departed heliport at 12:10 PM and arrived .on Platform Anna at 12:30 PM where we met with Bi 11 Nalverson, Amoco Dri 11 ing Engineer.; Barney Canson, Amoco Dri 11 lng Foreman; end John Edwards, Parker Dri l ling Company Toolpusher. Nippl lng up was in progress and tests were delayed until that evening. Tests began at 6:15 PM utilizing HalJilburton pump andmud .on. the 3000 psi stack. Lower pipe rams, inside wing valve on the. kill line and inside valve on the choke line tested to 3000 psigo Upper pipe rams, HCR valve on the choke line and check valve on the kill line tested to 3000 psig. Hydril also tested to 3000 psig. Eight valves and thirty flanges in the choke mani.foJd tested-to. 3000 psig. However, the number two plug valve in the choke manifold downstream from the HCR valve would not test and we re. comaend~repairs or. replacement.. The Cameron automatic choke was actuated and the manual adjustable choke was free moving. Accumulator pressure was 2600 psig. Recovery time after ram closure was six minutes, Five backup N2 bottles were manifolded into the accurmJlator but no provision for checking pressures, was available, Kelly cock and lower kelly valve tested to 30OO. psig. Dart~type floor valve was located at the drawworks. Finally blind rams tested to 3000 psig. Tests were completed at 8:00 PM. In talks wlth Barney Canson, lit was decided a gauge and bleed 'off valve would be incorporated in the N~ backup manifold for regular checking of the bottles. Also, the defecttve plu~valve in the choke manifold would be repaired and tested. We asked that our office be notified by Monday, September 13 of N2 bottle pressures and successful manifold plug vatve test. This is so noted on the field inspection report. The original of the field inspection report was given to Barney Canson, a copy mailed to Bill Halverson and a copy attached to this report.
