Production Operator shut in lift gas to Wells# A41-11LN & A23-10LW & flows & bleeds down wells prepping for CTU rig up.
Production Operator removes, blinds & secures A23-10LW gas lift injection line prepping for A41 CTU rig up.
Continue to clear Leg 4 drill deck prepping for MV Sovereign arrival. Spot CT reel, Ops Cab, power pack & hose reel skid, &
pumps & run hydraulic hoses to all. Working MV Sovereign offloading 2 ISOs (IM35 & IM36) & 3 totes of Oil Safe AR , SLB
batch mixer, flow back tank & gas buster, filter pad, hose basket & Quadco tools. Spot batch mixer & ISO# IM35 (72 bbl Oil
Safe AR) on pipe deck. Return to rigging up CTU package. Spot generator and run line to Ops Cab. Spot 100 bbl flow back tank
& mount gas buster to same. Run pump hard lines from fluid & N2 pumps to reel. MU gooseneck to injector. Run electronics
line to injector load cell. RU batch mixer to fluid pump. SDFN. Job in Progress.
PJSM & Permits. Continue rigging up hardline and hoses to coil and bops. Rig up riser assembly from WH to drill deck floor.
Test BOPE as per Hilcorp & AOGCC requirements, witnessed waived 9/1/2020 @ 10:06AM by AOGCC Inspections Supervisor
Jim Regg, 250/4000. Stab pipe in injector. RU flowback iron & choke manifold to flow back tank gas buster. Run drain lines
from flowback tank to C-pump & filter pad. Run lines from FIW supply to batch mixer. Fire CTU back up, no traction pressure
from hydraulics. Trouble shoot and found bad sun valve. Got part flown out. Part replaced, unit up and running. SDFN. Job In

w/ 1" steel ball displacing ball to end of coil w/ FIW. Break off well, recovered ball. MU BHA. PT CTC = 20K. Press Test BHA =
3500. BHA: CTC(1.68" X 0.30'), DFCV(1.70" X 1.29'), WB(1.70" X 4.93'), WB(1.70" X 4.93'), Disco(1.70" X 1.43'), Circ Sub(1.70" X
0.86'), Filter Sub (1.69" X 2.10'), Swivel(1.70" X 2.02'), Drift Ring(1.80" X 0.27'), JetBlaster Nozzle (1.50" X 0.13' w/ (2) 0.125" ID
side jets). OAL = 18.26'. Disco Ball = 1/2" Circ Sub Ball = 0.405". Move to well. PT LUB & WHA = 4500. Open Swab & RIH w/
JetBlaster Nozzle w/ 1.80" drift ring. T/IA = 80/70. Start pumping FIW @ 0.80 BPM. Returns to surface w/ 50 bbl away, getting
back 60% @ 0.50 BPM. Wash across all tubular jewelry (SSSV, 8 GLM, 1 X-nipple & 1 XN-nipple), 50' Down/Up/Down, @ 20
FPM. Washing across GLM#8 @ 7674'. Cooling down N2 pump. Kept losing prime on fluid pump, start tripping OOH to inspect
equipment, shut down n2 pump. OOH swab shut 15, bleed down, pop off well. SDFN while CT crew inspects pump and batch
mixer. Job in progress.

w/ friction reducer. Total 100 micron filtered returns shipped to MGS Onshore ~ 158 FIW & 345 FIW w/ FR. Return to surface.
Final T/IA OA = 0/95/92. Close swab & bleed all pressures. BO well, LD BHA & lubricator & set down & secure injector for
night. Secure well, drill & pipe decks. SDFN. Job in Progress.

reducer added to untreated FIW. 7700' RBIH for another bite to 9420' set down depth. PUH, overpull to 38K max PUW.
Attempt to RIH, NOGO. Working pipe w/ PUW to 38K & RIW to -15K. Still detained. Mix 7 bbl FloVis L gel pill & pump pill
displacing w/ FIW @ 1.10 BPM w/ 1:1 returns. Blend FIW w/ friction reducer and swap to treated FIW. Circ 7 bbl gel sweep
around continuing to work pipe. Gel sweep back in 2-7/8" tbg, coil is moving OOH. PUH to tbg. 7700' circulate 1.50 tbg.

mill. Cannot get back to 10,400' KB. POOH. Return to surface. Final T/IA/OA = 0/99/99. Close swab. Break off well, LD BHA &
lubricator. Ball recovered on seat in circ sub. Set down & secure injector for night. Submitted BOPE test notification to AOGCC
& notification approved by AOGCC Inspector Jim Regg. Emailed non-produced fluids transfer form to MGS Onshore. Testing
BOPE in morning. Secure well, drill & pipe deck. SDFN. Job in Progress.

in 4-1/2" slotted liner, PUW = 38K. PR = 1.0 BPM, CTP = 3900 psi. 10,000' wt chk = 34K, 10,400 wt chk = 38K, 10,195' KB PUW =
38K+. RBIH free, attempt to PUH, PUW = 38K+. Able to RIH free, detained unable to PUH. Stop pumping acid w/ 32 bbl away
(coil volume = 24 bbl). Well & coil on vacuum. wait for well to equalize. Working pipe up to 38K, NO LOVE. WHP = 3 psi w/
choke full open. Coil on slight vacuum. Bullhead displace acid to well w/ 30 bbl FIW pumped to coil while attempting to PUH
to 38K, NO LOVE. PR = 1.0 BPM, CTP = 3500. Still able to move down hole freely. Currently @ 10,320' KB. Stop pump, work
pipe w/ NO LOVE. Choke closed, WHP = 0 psi. Pump N2 = 1000 SCFM to coil to displace FIW. Coil displaced, WHP = 5 psi &
slowly rising. WHP = 10 psi, coil is moving slowly OOH @ PUW = 38K. Continue pumping N2 = 1000 SCFM.,9900' PUW = 38K,
PUH 35 FPM 8800', WHP =15 psi, PUW = 33K. Stop N2. Pull above 8609' KB top of 4-1/2" liner into 7" prod csg & continue
PUH. 8100' PUW = 32K. Continue PUH to EOT @ 7820, PUW = 30K. PUH to 7700', PUW = 30K & pulling freely above both X &
XN nipples. Stop POOH. RBIH to 7850' KB.,7850' KB WHP = 15K Pump 38 bbl OilSafe AR, PR = 1.0 BPM @ 2200 psi w/ choke
close & displace coil w/ 30 bbl FIW, PR =1.0 BPM @ 1500psi. Stop pump, WHP = 211 psi, CT on vacuum. 7850' KB POOH

Naming Convention Note:
Production is reported to the state under well name MGS A41-11 (PTD#185-174. API: 50-733-20378-00), the
inactive motherbore. But this well was sidetracked and incorrectly permitted and is internally named “A41-
11LN” (PTD 194-087. API: 50-733-20378-61).
Brief Well Summary
Well A41-11LN is a gas lifted producer completed in Hemlock sands. This well has a history of scaling over and a
2019 wireline drift confirmed the liner is scaling up. This procedure will clean-out fill covering the perforations
and acidize the perforations.
Safety Concerns:
x Discuss nitrogen asphyxiation concerns and identify any areas where nitrogen could collect and people
could enter.
x Consider tank placement based on wind direction and current weather forecast (venting methane and
Nitrogen during this job)
x Ensure all crews are aware of stop job authority (Review Standard Well Procedure – Nitrogen
Operations)
Procedure:
1.MIRU Coil Tubing.
2.NU BOP and test to 250psi low / 4,500psi High. (Note: Notify AOGCC 48 hours in advance of test)
3.RIH cleaning out fill to bottom of the perf interval using FIW and/or synthetic acid.
a. Have milling tool string on hand for contingent scale milling as needed
b. Circulate well clean using FIW with N2 assist as needed
4.Lay ±3025 gallons of Oilsafe AR synthetic acid across perforations
5.Displace with CT volume of FIW. RDMO.
6.Soak for ±72 hours
7.Turn well over to operations to POP.

The replacement well incorporates a lateral with the existing well bore. The lateral along with the original hole will be
used for production of hydrocarbons. A review of both well files indicates administrative abandonment (SQZED, AOGCC
status) of the originating well bore is appropriate according to current AOGCC procedures for wells where additional
permitted laterals are drilled from an existing well bore. Production will be reported to the original API wellbore (-00, -01
or etc) and not to the lateral API wellbore (-60, -61 or etc).
20 AAC 25.005(e) requires a Permit to Drill for each hole drilled below the conductor unless drilled to straighten the
original hole, sidetrack junk, or correct mechanical difficulties. In addition, AOGCC databases require each conductor
have only one permit number and API number. Administrative abandonment of the original permit only eliminates
duplication in the databases. Information for the original well and its replacement will be maintained in their respective
files until plugged and abandoned according to 20 AAC 25.105.
Please notify other cognizant personnel in your organization so that the well will be correctly identified on subsequent
reports and applications submitted to the Commission.

Saturday July 24, 1994: I traveled to Shell Western E&P Platform "A~ to
witness a BOPE Test.
As noted in the attached AOGCC BOP Test Report 1 H2S gas detector failed
and was repaired and testing was resumed. The rig was in very good shape and
the test was conducted in a very professional manner.
Summary: I witnessed the BOP Test on Shell Western E&P Platform "A', 1
failure, 3.5 hours.

The permit to re-ddll does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law
from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting re-drilling operations
until all other required permitting determinations are made.
Blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25.035.
Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) of the BOPE test performed before drilling below the
surface casing shoe must be given so that a representative of the Commission may witness the

MIDDLE GROUND SHOAL WELL NO. A41-11..LN
WELL PROGRAM
Middle Ground Shoal (MGS) A41-11' LN will be a deepening of
existing well A41-11. The objective is the Hemlock reservoir in
the West Flank of the field.
The well will be drilled directional out of the 7" liner, through
the Hemlock to a TVD of 10,066'. The well will be completed with
a 4 1/2" slotted liner across the Hemlock reservoir.
The existing perforations will be left open. A retrievable
whipstock used for directional kickoff will be set above the
existing Hemlock perforations. The whipstock equipment is set up
such that the whipstock can be produced through from the lower
intervals.

DRILLING FLUID PROGRAM
The 6" hole will be drilled using a mineral oil base mud. The
anticipated mud weight is 9.0 ppg.
EXPECTED PRESSURES
The expected pressure gradient is 0.455 psi/ft. The expected
maximum bottom hole pressure is 4,580 psi at 10,066'TVD.
The expected maximum surface pressure with an oil fluid column
and the well shut in is 923 psi.
CASING PROGRAM
A 6" hole will be drilled out of the existing 7" liner to TD. A
4 1/2" ll.6#/ft K55 BTC slotted liner will be run to TD and hung
at approximately 8,660'MD. The slots wil be 0.03" in width. No
cementing operations are planned.
