Ausust 13, 1964
Pursuant to the application of the Pan American Petroleum Corporation~
dated August 13, 1964, an emergency for an exception to Section 2012 of the
Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Regulations and to Title 31 of the Alaska Statutes
is hereby declared to exist.
The Pan American Petroleum Corporation has located an exploratory
well. 1748~ E of the W line and 2607' $ of the N line, 'Section 8, T, gN.-R,12W.~
Seward Meridian, which places the location closer than 500" to aquarter
section line. The nearest property or lease line is 2673~. Locating the well
at this position is necessary because of water depths.
The request of Pan American Petroleu~ Corporation to place the
location as described above and to commence drilling is hereby approved '.~r a
maximum of 15 days from the above da~e.

STATE OF ALASKA
A. E. Piper, being first duly sworn, upon his oath, deposes
and says:
1. That I am a resident of the State of Alaska and
employed with Pan American Petroleum Corporation in the capacity of
District Superintendent.
2. That I have caused to be prepared an Application for
a drilling site within the exception provided for in Section 2061.4
of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Rules.
3. That in support of this application, I hereby state,
within my personal knowledge, that plat, the same being drawn to scale
of the proposed drilling site, is true and accurate to the best of my
knowledge and correctly reflects pertinent and required data.
4. Your affiant further states that to the best of my
knowledge there is no other lessee within a one mile radius of the
well location.
5. Your affiant further states with personal knowledge
that the location 1,748 feet East of the West line and 2,607 feet
South of the North line of Section 8, Township 9 North, Range 12
West, Seward Meridian, is considered optimum for geological reasons
and for placement of a future multi-well permanent platform.
