The Mobil Oil Corporation submitted a request dated July 25, 1967 for an ex- ception to the 500 feet governmental quarter section boundary offset provision of Section 2061.1 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, Title 11, AAC, for the development well, Granite Point State #31-13, to produce from the interval located 3070 feet from the west line and between 940 feet and 790 feet from the north line, Section 13, T10N, R12W, SM. 2. Notice of hearing on the petition was published in the Anchorage Daily News on August 4, 1967, pursuant to Section 2012 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, but no protest for hearing was received. AND IT FURTHER APPEARING that after due consideration an exception to 2061.1 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations permitting the Mobil Oil Corpo- ration to produce the Granite Point State #31-13 less than 500 feet from the pro- tracted governmental quarter section line should be granted because of the in- herent difficulty of controlling the direction and the degree of deviation in the drilling of a well to an exact geographic location. Marshall, Jr. REQUEST FOR WAIVER TO SPACING REGULATION GRANITE POINT STATE WELL NO. 31-13 GRANITE POINT FIELD Gentlemen: In accordance with the State of Alaska, 0il & Gas Conservation Regulation 2061.4, Mobil Oil Corporation requests an exception to Regulation 2061.1 for our well, Granite Point State #31-13, in that the location at the pro- ducing interval is nearer than 500 feet to the west boundry of the NE governmental quarter seCtion, Section 13, T10N, R12W, S.M. As shown on the attached plat, the well followed a course such that the top of the producing interval (8814' M.D.) is at a location 940'S and 3070'E from the NW corner of Section 13, T10N, R12W, and the base of the producing interval (9638' M.D.) is at a location 790'S and 3070'E from the NW corner of Section 13, T10N, R12W S.M. These points within the producing interval are 480' from the governmental quarter section boundry. Pan American Petroleum Corporation lease #18742 is 790' north of the base of this producing interval, and they are the only other operator within a one mile radius of this location. Ail facts herein stated are, within the knowledge of the affiant, true and the accompanying plat is accurately drawn to scale and correctly reflects pertinent and required data.
