IT APPEARING THAT:
1. The Tenneco Oil Company submitted a 'request dated August 4, 1967 for an
exception.to the 500 feet governmental quarter section boundary offset
provision of Section 2061.1 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations,
Title 11, AAC for the exploratory well State 36465 ~1 to drill at a location
one (1) foot from the south line and 2500 feet from the west line, Section 34,
T 7 N, R 14 W, S.M.
2. Notice of hearing on the petition was published in the Anchorage Daily
News on August 16, 1967, pursuant to Section 2012 of the Alaska Oil and Gas
Conservation Regulations, but no protest for hearing was received.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING that after due consideration an exception to 2061.1
of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations permitting the Tenneco Oil
Company to drill the State 36465 #1 well less than 500 feet from the protracted
section line and protracted quarter section line should be granted because this
well is being drilled subject to a stipulation that the acreage constituting
the future drilling unit of this well must be pooled before production is sold.
This stipulation is a~ceptable to the offset operators.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the Tenneco Oil Company be permitted to
drill the exploratory well State 36465 #1 at the applied for location.

Application for footage spacing exception.
Tenneco Oil Company, State 36465 #1
Location: 2500' FWL and 1' FSL of Sec. 34., TTN R14W SM
Pursuant to Section 2014 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations of
Alaska, an emergency for an exception to Section 2012 of the Alaska Oil and
Gas Conservation Regulations is hereby declared to exist.
The Tenneco Oil Company has requested a spacing exception for the caption-
ed well dated August 11, 1967. This matter is set for public hearing. Letters
of non-objection have been received from all effected operators.
The request of Tenneco Oil Company to commence drilling the captioned
well at their own risk is hereby approved for a maximum of fifteen days from
the date of this emergency order.

on the common lease line of the aforesaid lease as follows:
At a location, on the South Section Line of Section
34, T7N, R14W, Seward Meridian, State of Alaska,
and the North Section Line of Section 3, T6N, R14W,
Seward Meridian, State of Alaska, approximately
2,500 feet East of the West Line of said Sections.
In this connection, Sun Oil Company advises that it
will not be aggrieved by the granting of an exception to
the well spacing provisions of Section 2061 of the Alaska
Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, 1964 and in addition
waives, as an offset operator, any objection to such location
being nearer than 500 feet to the boundary line of the drill
site tract.

of Lands, Department of Natural Resources, State of Alaska, the owner of
an interest in the State of Alask~ Competitive Oil and Gas Lease No. ADL 36465
and does hereby designate Tenneco Oil Company, P. O. Box l?OB, Anchorage,
Alaska, as its operator and local agent, with full authority to act in its
behalf in complying with the terms of the lease and regulations applicable
thereto and on whom the proper representative of the State of Alaska may
serve written or oral instructions in securing compliance with the operating
regulations of the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Alaska
with respect to the following described acreage situated within the State of
Alaska:

It is understood that this Designation of Operator does not relieve
the Lessee of responsibility for compliance with the terms of the lease and
the aforementioned operating regulations. It is also understood that this
Designation of Operator does not constitute an assignment of an interest in
the aforementioned oil and gas lease.
In case of default on the part of the designated operator, the Lessee
will make full and prompt compliance with all regulations, lease terms, or
orders of the proper representative of the State of Alaska.
The Lessee agrees promptly to notify the proper official of the
State of Alaska of any change in the designated operator.
