IT APPEARING THAT:
1. The Mobil Oil Corporation submitted a request dated September 12, 1967
for an exception to the 500 foot governmental section boundary offset provi-
sion of Section 2061.1 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations,
Title 11, AAC, for the deviated development well, Granite Point State #31-14,
to produce from the interval located 1460 feet from the north line and 330
feet from the east line at the top of the producing interval and 1510 feet
from the north line and 120 feet from the east line at the base of the producing
interval, all in Section 14, T10N, R12W, S.M.
2. There are no other operators affected by the granting of this exception
at the applied for location.
3. The bottom hole location of this well is not closer than 1000 feet from
the bottom hole location of any other oil well.
4. Notice of hearing on the petition was published in the Anchorage Daily
News on September 29, 1967, pursuant to Section 2012 of the Alaska Oil and
Gas Conservation Regulations, but no protest was received.
AND IT FURTHER APPEARING that .after due consideration an exception to Section
2061.1 of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations permitting the Mobil
Oil Corporation to produce the Granite Point State ~31m14 well less than 500 feet
from the protracted governmental section line should be granted because of the

inherent difficulty of controlling the direction and the degree of
deviation in the drilling of a well to objective formations occurring at
varying depths and attitudes which makes the angle of penetration very
difficult to control.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the Mobil Oil Corporation be permitted
to produce the development well, Granite Point State #31-14 from the applied
for interval.
DONE, at Anchorage and Juneau, Alaska, and dated October 12, 1967.

exception to the spacing provisions of Section 2061.1AAC, Title II to
produce from the Kenai Sands. Applicant proposes to produce from the
interval 9140' measured depth, located 1460' FNL and 330' FEL, to 10,190'
measured depth, located 1510' FNL and 120' FEL, all in Section 14, T 10 N,
R 12 W, SM, which is less than the 500 feet minimum standback requirement
from the protracted section line. Parties who may be aggrieved if the
requested order is issued, are allowed ten days from the date of this
publication in which to file a protest and request for hearing. Place
of filing is 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska. If such protest
is timely filed, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address
on October 11, 1967 at 11:00 a.m., at which time protestants and others may
be heard. If no such protest is timely filed, the Committee will consider
the issuance of the order without a hearing..

Gentlemen:
In accordance with the State of Alaska,Oil & Gas Conservation Regulation
2061.4, Mobil Oil Corporation requests an exception to Regulation 2061.1
for our well, Granite Point State #31-14 in that the location at the pro-
ducing interval is nearer than 500 feet to the east boundry of the NE
governmental quarter section, Section 14, TION, R12W, S.M.
As shown on the attached plat, the well followed a course such that the
top of the producing interval (9140'M.D.) is at a location 1460'S and
330'W from the NE corner of Section 14, TION, R12W and the base of the
producing interval (10,190' M.D.) is at a location 1510'S and 120'W from
the NE corner of Section 14, TION, R12W, S.M. The producing interval is
therefore less than 500' from the governmental quarter section boundry.
Pan American Petroleum Corporation lease #18742 is 1520' NE of the top
of this producing interval, and is the only lease within a one mile
radius of this location.
Ail facts herein stated are, within the knowledge of the affiant true
and the accompanying plat is accurately drawn to scale and correctly
reflects pertinent and required data.
