March 14, 1973
Attached is Form P-3 Sundry Notice, in triplicate,
revising location of Texaco's Long Lake Unit 91 Well from
that included in our Application for Permit to Drill dated
February 22, 1973. Also included are registered survey
plats, in triplicate, supporting the revised location.
In order to obtain the optimum location and to avoid
a rather large swampy area in the SE 1/4 of Section 32, it
was necessary to locate the well within 500 feet of the sec-
tion/lease boundary line. Texaco hereby makes application '~,.
for an exception to Section 2061 of the Oil and Gas Conser-
vation Regulations as it pertains to wells located closer ~
than 500 feet to the property/lease line. Texaco is in the
final process of completing and filing the Long Lake Unit
with the State and U. S. Geological Survey. The designa-
tion of the Unit outline was approved by the State by letter
dated January 26, 1973 and by the U. S. Geological Survey by
letter dated January 12, 1973.
Mobil Oil Corporation and Gulf Oil Corporation are the
affected offsetting lessees. Texaco is finalizing negotiations
for an operating agreement with both Mobil and Gulf for the
drilling of this well.
As provided in Section 2061, attached is a plat, scale
1"-2640', showing status and ownership of leases surrounding
the well location.
The information contained in this application is, within
our knowledge, true and the accompanying plat is accurately
drawn to scale and correctly reflects the required data in
support of this application.
Texaco respectfully requests your early consideration
and approval of this requested exception.
