Texaco Inc. submitted the referenced applicatlon dated March 14, 1973. 2. The referenced location lies 402' from a property line. The referenced regulation requires a location to be a minimum of 500 feet from a property line. 3. Notice of the hearing on this request was published in the Anchorage Daily News on March 21, 1973 pursuant to Title II, Alaska Admlnlstratlve Code, Section 2009, and no protest was received. FINDINGS: I. It is necessary to place this Iocatlon less than 500 feet from a property line to avoid a large swampy area. CONCLUSION: I. Granting the applicant's request will not result in waste or Impair correlatlve rights of affected parties. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED TNAT: Texaco Inc. may locate the Long Lake Unit No. I well less than 500 feet from a property line at the referenced location. The application of Texaco Inc. for an order granting exception to Title ll, Alaska Administrative Code Section 2061 (a) for relief from the footage spacing requirements for the Long Lake Unit #1 well. Notice is hereby given that Texaco Inc. has requested the Oil and Gas Conservation Committee to issue an order exempting tile referenced well from the 500 - foot minimum distance requirement of the referenced regulation. Parties who may be aggrieved if the requested order is issued are allowed 10 days from the date of this publication in which to file a protest and request for hearing. Place of filing is 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska. If such a protest is timely filed, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 AM March 31, 1973, at which time protestants and others may be heard. Marshall, Jr. Executive Secretar.v Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Committee 3001 Porcupine Drive Anchorage, Alaska 99501 Publish March 21, 1973 State of Alaska Division of Oil and Gas 3001 Porcupine Drive Anchorage, Alaska Gentlemen: PETROLEUM PRODUCTS March 14, 1973 Attached is Form P-3 Sundry Notice, in triplicate, revising location of Texaco's Long Lake Unit 91 Well from that included in our Application for Permit to Drill dated February 22, 1973. Also included are registered survey plats, in triplicate, supporting the revised location. In order to obtain the optimum location and to avoid a rather large swampy area in the SE 1/4 of Section 32, it was necessary to locate the well within 500 feet of the sec- tion/lease boundary line. Texaco hereby makes application '~,. for an exception to Section 2061 of the Oil and Gas Conser- vation Regulations as it pertains to wells located closer ~ than 500 feet to the property/lease line. Texaco is in the final process of completing and filing the Long Lake Unit with the State and U. S. Geological Survey. The designa- tion of the Unit outline was approved by the State by letter dated January 26, 1973 and by the U. S. Geological Survey by letter dated January 12, 1973. Mobil Oil Corporation and Gulf Oil Corporation are the affected offsetting lessees. Texaco is finalizing negotiations for an operating agreement with both Mobil and Gulf for the drilling of this well. As provided in Section 2061, attached is a plat, scale 1"-2640', showing status and ownership of leases surrounding the well location. The information contained in this application is, within our knowledge, true and the accompanying plat is accurately drawn to scale and correctly reflects the required data in support of this application.
