IT APPEARING THAT:
Conservation Order No. 129
Cape Kasilof #1 well
November 6, 1974
1. Standard Oil Company of California submitted the referenced
application dated October 11, 1974.
2. The referenced well is being deviated from a surface location
aboard an offshore drilling barge.
3. The referenced location lies 82 feet west of a property line.
The referenced regulation requires a location to be a mini-
mum of 500 feet from a property line. Standard Oil Company
of California owns the leases on both sides of the property
lines.
4. Notice of hearing on this request was published in the Anchor-
age Daily News on October 22, 1974 pursuant to Title 11, Alaska
Administrative Code, Section 22.540, and no protest was
received.
FINDINGS:
1. It is necessary to place this bottom hole location less than
500 feet from a property line so that the location is in the
optimum position for the testing of the geological objective.
CONCLUSION:
1. Granting the applicant's request will not result in waste or
impair correlative right of affected parties.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORD¥RED THAT:
Standard Oil Company of California mây locate the Cape Kasilof
#1 well less than 500 feet from the property lines at the re-
ferenced location.

Re: The application of Standard Oil Company of California for an
order granting exception to Title 11, Alaska Administrative
Code, Section 22.055 (a) (1) for relief from the footage spacing
requirements for the Cape Kðsilof #1 well to be directionally
drilled to a bottom hole location 207 feet north and 82 feet
west of the southeast corner of Section 24, T3N, R13W, S.M.
~otice is hereby given that Standard Oil Company of California
has requested -the Oil and Gas Conservation Committee to issue an order
exempting the referenced gas well from the 500 foot minimum distance
to a property line of the lease requirement of the referenced regulation.
Parties who may be aggrieved if the requested order is issued are
allowed 10 days from the date of this publication in which to file a
protest and request for hearing. Place of filing is 3001 Porcupine
Drive, Anchorage, Alaska. If such a protest is timely filed, a hearing
on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 AM, November
4, 1974, at which time protestants and others may be heard. If no
such protest is timely filed, the Committee will consider the issuance
of the order without a hearing.

Dear Mr. Burrell:
Enclosed is a revised For.rnlO-141"Pennit to Drill or Deepen" .~ drill
the subject well as a deviated hole. The'surface location will remain the
same; hONever, due to subsurface considerations after logging at 2502 " we
nOlV plan to directionally drill the well to a bottan hole location which
will be 207.' North and 82' West of the Southeast Comer of Section 24,
TCMnShip 3 North, Range 13 West, S.M. The well will be directional to that
bottan hole location which will be reached at approximately 8,000' and fram
8,000 I to total depth the well will be drilled as a vertical hole.
The attached platshCMS the leasehold interest in the vicinity of the botta:n
hole, and the bottan hole location will be 82' West of the lease line of
, ADL-60597, which is owned by StandaJ:d. As to llAAC22. 050 (b) (C), as shONn .on
,the plat, there are no affected operators.
Since the bottom hole location is closer than 500' to lease ADL-60597, please
consider this letter as an application for an exception to regulation
llAAC22.055 (a) (1). '
Also attached is our check in the a:rnount òf $100.00 which is the fee for
fil:ing the Permit to Drill or Deepen.
As provided under lJAAC22.055 (b), the undersigned is acquainted with all the
facts supporting the application for except{on and acknowledges that such
facts are true and that the attached plat is accurately drawn to scale and
pe:cnit application correctly reflects the pertinent data concerning the
