Conservation Order No. 133 West Staines State No.2 Well January 3, 1975 IT APPEARING THAT: 1. Mobil Oil Corporation submitted the referenced application dated December 16, 1974. 2. The referenced location lies 50 feet west of a property line. The referenced regulation requires a location to be a minimum of 500 feet from a property line. Mobil Oil Corporation owns the leases on both sides of the property lines. 3. Notice of hearing on this request was published in the Anchorage Daily News on December 18, 1974 pursuant to Title 11, Alaska Administra- tive Code, Section 22.540, and no protest was received. FINDINGS: 1. It is necessary to place this bottom hole location less than 500 feet from a property line so that the location is in the optimum position for the testing of the geological objective. CONCLUSION: 1. Granting the applicant's request will not result in waste or impair correlative rights of affected parties. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: Mobil Oil Corporation may locate the West Staines State No.2 well less than 500 feet from the property lines at the referenced location. The subject well is to be drilled to a total depth of 13,500'. Mobil Oil Corporation also request an order of exception to the well spacing restriction for drilling West Staines #2 in that the well's location deviates from the State Conservation Regu- lation, Section 2061Ca), which specifies a 500' minimum stand- back at the lease line between state leases Nos. ADL 28377 and ADL 28385. The same parties are owners of both leases. This site is considered optimum to secure desired geological information.
