There were no protests to the application. FINDING: The Prudhoe Bay Unit No. Y-1 well was drilled to a measured depth of 12,962 feet but the actual location was about 1100 feet northwest of the propoSed location at the top of the producing zone which is part of the Prudhoe Oil Pool. Conservation Orde~- ~o. 167 CONCLUSION: The requested exception to Rule 2 of Conservation Order No. 145 will not affect the ultimate recovery of oil and gas from the Prudhoe Oil Pool and correlative rights are adequately protected in the Prudhoe Bay Unit. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: The Prudhoe Bay Unit No. Y-1 well may be perforated, completed and produced from the Prudhoe Oil Pool at the location now existing. Notice is hereby given that the Sohio Alaska Petroleum Company, operator of the western area of the Prudhoe Bay Unit, has requested the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to issue an order granting an exception for the referenced well from Rule 2 of Conservation Order No. 145 which requires a minimum distance of 2000 feet ~between any~ pay opened to the well bore in the Prudhoe Oil Pool. Due to circumstances that arose during the directional drilling of the referenced well, the proposed subsur- face target was missed. In order to utilize the existing well bore, Sohio Alaska Petroleum Company requests an order permitting the well to be perforated at a distance of approximately 1757 feet from the Prudhoe Bay Unit No. D-10 well. The subsurface locations of the two wells are in Section 22, TllN, R13E, Umiat Meridian, in the Prudhoe Bay Field. Parties Who may be aggrieved if the referenced order is issued are allowed~10 days from the date of this publication in which to file a protest in writing, stating in detail the nature of the aggrievement, and a request for a hearing.
