No protests to the application were received. FINDINGS: · Conoco proposes to drill Astosch from a surface location 50' from the east line (FEL) and 1300' from the north line (FNL) of Section 3, T10N, R13W, Seward Meridian, to a bottomhole location (BHL) 811' FWL, 2360' FNL of Section 2, T10N, R13W, Seward Meridian. · Offset operator/owners Lehndorff - Cook Inlet Company, Marathon Oil Company, Santa Fe Energy Resources, Inc. and Union Oil Company of California have been duly notified. · Astosch well is being drilled to explore for gas and oil. The gas target is located 600'F~, 2100'FNL of Section 2, T10N, R13W, SM. The oil target is the same as the BHL. · An exception is necessary to achieve compliance with 20 AAC 25.055(a)(1) and (2). Conservation Ord~ No. 265 December 14, 1990 Page 2 , 20 AAC 25.517 provides for integrating the interests of all persons owning an interest in a pool or portion of a pool before commencing regular production of oil or gas. CONCLUSION: Granting a spacing exception to allow drilling of the Conoco Astosch well as proposed will not result in waste nor jeopardize correlative rights. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED: CONOCO, Inc.'s application for an exception to 20 AAC 25.055 for the purpose of drilling the Astosch well is approved as proposed. The excep- tion would allow drilling the Astosch exploratory well from a surface location closer than 500 feet from the boundary of a drilling unit and to a location closer than 1500 feet from the boundary of another drilling unit. The surface location is 50'FEL, 1300'FNL of Section 3, Township ION, Range 13W of the Seward Meridian and the bottomhole location is 811'FWL, 2360'FNL of Section 2, T10N, R13W, of the Seward Meridian. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued, may file a written protest prior to 4:00 pm December 13, 1990 with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcu- pine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed, and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 am December 28, 1990 in conformance with 20 AAC 25.540. If a hearing is to be held, interested parties may confirm this by calling the Commission's office, (907) 279-1433, after December 13, 1990.
