McIntyre No. P2-51 April 3, 1992 IT APPEARING THAT: I · ARCO Alaska, Inc. submitted an application dated February 13, 1992 requesting an exception to 20 AAC 25.055(a)(3) to allow drilling the ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. P2-51 well closer than 500 feet to a quarter section line. . Notice of hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News and the Anchorage Times on March 7, 1992 pursuant to 20 ACC 25.540. · The bottomhole location requested in the original application was incorrect. 4. A corrected application was submitted March 12, 1992. De A corrected notice of hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News and the Anchorage Times on March 14, 1992 pursuant to 20 ACC 25.540 and in the Alaska Administrative Journal on March 23, 1992. . One protest to the original application was received March 18, 1992. e The Commission, by letter dated March 19, 1992 informed the protester of the correction to the application and requested additional information 'should the protester still wish to protest. 8. McIntyre No. P2-51 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 509 feet from the north line (FNL), 1250 feet from the west line (FWL) of Section 14, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottomhole location 2410 feet FNL, 209 feet FEL, Section 3, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. . Offset operators/owners Exxon Corporation, BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc., and Amerada Hess Corporation have been duly notified. Se An exception to 20 AAC 25.055(a)(3) is necessary to allow drilling of the well. CONCLUSION: Granting a spacing exception to allow drilling of the ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. P2-51 well as proposed will not result in waste nor jeopardize correlative rights. NOW, THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED: ARCO Alaska, Inc.'s application for an exception to 20 AAC 25.055 for the purpose of drilling the Pt. McIntyre No. P2-51 well is approved as proposed. Please be advised that a revised notice for the well was published on March 14, 1992 (copy enclosed) because of an incorrect bottom-hole location. The correct bottom-hole location is within ADL 34622. In anticipation that you will resubmit your protest for the corrected notice, the Commission request that you more specifically communicate how you will be harmed if the spacing exception is approved.
