ARCO Alaska, Inc. submitted applications dated July 16, 1992 requesting exception to 20 AAC 25.055(a)(3) to allow drilling the ARCO Pt. MeIntyre Well Nos. P1-11, P1-21, P2-31, P2-47 and P2- 56 closer than 500 feet to a quarter section line. . Notice of hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News on July 25, 1992 pursuant to 20 ACC 25.540. 3. No protest to the applications was received. FINDINGS: I . The ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. PI-ll well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 1428' from the south line (FSL), 781' from the east line (FEL) of Section 16, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottom-hole location 1882' from the north line (FNL), 2606' from the west line (FWL) of Section 10, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. . The ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. P1-21 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 1378' FSL, 922' FEL of Section 16, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottom-hole location 2367' FNL, 2368' FWL of Section 9, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. McIntyre No. P2-31 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 205' FNL, 1376' FWL of Section 14, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottom-hole location 81' FNL, 123' FWL of Section 18, T12N, R15E, Umiat Meridian. . The ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. P2-47 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 425' FNL, 1286' FWL of Section 14, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottom-hole location 55' FSL, 1360' FWL of Section 12, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. . The ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. P2-56 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 579' FNL, 1223' FWL of Section 14, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian to a bottom-hole location 2328' FSL, 2578' FWL, Section 14, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian. . An exception to drill the P2-56 well to a different bottom hole location was issued as Conservation Order No. 294 on March 20, 1992. . Offset operators/owners Exxon Corporation and BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. have been duly notified. . An exception to 20 AAC 25.055(a)(3) is necessary to allow drilling of these wells. CONCLUSION: Granting spacing exceptions to allow drilling of the ARCO Pt. McIntyre Well Nos. P1-11, P1-21, P2-31, P2-47 and P2-56 as proposed will not result in waste nor jeopardize correlative rights. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED: I · ARCO Alaska, Inc.'s applications for exception to 20 AAC 25.055 for the purpose of drilling the Pt. McIntyre Well Nos. P1-11, P1- 21, P2-31, P2-47 and P2-56 are approved as proposed. 2. Conservation Order No. 294 is hereby revoked. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued may file a written protest prior to 4:00 pm August 10, 1992, with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed, and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 am August 25, 1992 in conformance with 20 AAC 25.540. If a hearing is to be held, interested parties may confirm this by calling the Commission's office, (907) 279-1433, after August 10, 1992.
