Notice of hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News on December 29, 1992 pursuant to 20 ACC 25.540. 3. No protests to the application were received. FINDINGS: I . The Ivan River Unit 14-31 RD No. 1 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a proposed surface location 727 feet from the south line (FSL) and 757 feet from the east line (FEL) of Section 1, T13N, R9W Seward Meridian (SM). The proposed bottomhole location is 689 feet FSL and 576 feet FEL of Section 36, T14N, R9W SM · An exception to 20 AAC 25.055 (a)(4) is necessary to allow drilling of the well. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED: UNOCAL Corporation's application for an exception to 20 AAC 25.055 for the purpose of drilling of the Ivan River Unit 14-31 RD No. 1 well is al~proved as proposed. UNOCAL Corporation by letter dated Decetnber 22, 1992 has requested an exception to the provisions of 20 AAC 25.055 (a)(4). The exception would allow drilling the UNOCAL Ivan River Unit 14-31 Redrill No. I gas development well to a location closer than 1500 feet from the boundary of a drilling unit and to within 3,000 feet of another well capable of producing from the same pool. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued, may file a written protest prior to 4:00 PM January 13, 1993 with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed, and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's determination, a hearing on the ~natter will be held at the above address at 9:00 AM January 29, 1993 in conformance with 20 AAC 25.540. If a hearing is to be held, interested parties may confirm this by calling the Cmnmission's office, (907) 279-1433, after January 13, 1993.
