Notice of hearing was published in the Anchorage Daily News on December 29, 1992 pursuant to 20 AAC 25.540. 3. No protests to the application were received. · UNOCAL Corporation through correspondence dated February 3, 1993 has canceled its plans to drill Ivan River Unit 14-31RD No. 1 well to the approved spacing exception location and instead requests that the provisions of Conservation Order No. 308 be aPplied to Ivan River Unit 44-36. Conservation Ord No. 308A February 5, 1993 Page 2 FINDINGS: · · · Conservation Order No. 308 issued January 19, 1993, granted a spacing exception for the Ivan River Unit 14-31 RD No. 1 gas development well to allow drilling to a proposed bottomhole location in Section 36, T14N, R9W, SM. The Ivan River Unit 44-36 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a proposed surface location 742 feet from the south line (FSL) and 777 feet from the east line (FEL) of Section 1, T13N, R9W Seward Meridian (SM). The proposed bottomhole location is 209 feet FSL and 791 feet FEL of Section 36, T14N, R9W SM. An exception to 20 AAC 25.055 (a)(4) is necessary to allow drilling of the Ivan River Unit 44-36 well. The proposed bottomhole location of the Ivan River Unit 44-36 is within the same quarter, quarter section as previously approved for spacing exception under Conservation Order No. 308 for the Ivan River Unit 14-31 RD No. 1 well. CONCLUSION: · · The proximity of the proposed bottomhole location of Ivan River Unit 44-36 and the previously proposed and approved bottomhole location of Ivan River Unit 14-31 RD No. 1 is such that the intent and provisions of Conservation Order No. 308 may be applied to the Ivan River Unit 44-36 spacing exception. Granting a spacing exception to allow drilling of the Ivan River Unit 44-36 well as proposed will not result in waste nor jeopardize correlative rights. Conservation Ord[. No. 308A February 5, 1993 Page 3 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED: UNOCAL Corporation's application for an exception to 20 AAC 25.055 for the purpose of drilling the Ivan River Unit 44-36 well is approved as proposed. Conservation Order No. 308 is hereby revoked and Conservation Order 308A is issued in its place.
