No protests to the application were received. FINDINGS: I · The BP Yukon Gold. well as proposed will be a deviated [straight] hole drilled from a surface location 5061 feet from the north line (FNL) and 4640 feet from the east line (FEL) Section 13~ TSN, R23E~ Umiat Meridian [108 feet from the north line and 141 feet from the east line of Section 23, T8N, R23E, Umiat Meridian] to a bottomhole location of 108 (FNL) and 141 (FEL)~ Section 23~ TSN~ R23E~ Umiat Meridian. The exception would allow BP Exploration to drill the BP Yukon Gold exploratory oil well to a location closer than 500 feet from a quarter section line. The proposed surface and bottom-hole locations are 108' from the north line and 141' from the east line of Section 23, Township 8 North, Range 23 East, Umiat Meridian. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued may file a written protest prior to 4:00 PM March 24, 1993 with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 am on April 14, 1993 in conformance with 20 AAC 25.540.
