McIntyre No. P1-08 well as proposed will be direetionally drilled from a surface location 1442' from the south line (FSL), 738' from the east line (FEL) of Section 16, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian (UM), to a bottom-hole location 2667' from the north line, 2105' FEL of section 15, T12N, R14E, UM. . The ARCO Pt. McIntyre No. Pl-13 well as proposed will be directionally drilled from a surface location 1418' FSL, 808' FEL of Section 16, T12N, R14E, UM, to a bottom-hole location 832' FSL, 1970' FEL of Section 15, T12N, R14E, UM. . Mclntyre Well Nos. P1-08 and P1-13 development oil wells. ARCO Alaska, Inc. by letter dated April 5, 1993 has requested an exception to the provisions of 20 AAC 25.055(a)(3) for the drilling of two development oil wells in the Pt. Mclntyre area. The exception would allow ARCO to directionally drill the Pt. Mclntyre No. P1-08 development oil well to a producing location that is; 1) closer than 500 feet from a quarter section line and 2) the second well drilled to a pool within a governmental quarter section. The proposed surface location is 1442' from the south line (FSL), 738' from the east line (FEL) of Section 16, T12N, R14E, Umiat Meridian (UM) and the proposed bottom-hole location is 2667' from the north line, 2105' FEL of Section 15, T12N, R14E, UM. The exception would allow ARCO to directionally drill the Pt. Mclntyre No. P1-13 to a producing location that is; 1) closer than 500 feet from a quarter section line, 2) closer than 1000 feet to a well that is capable of producing from the same pool and 3) the second well drilled to a pool within a governmental quarter section. The proposed surface location is 1418' FSL, 808' FEL of Section 16, T12N, R14E, UM and the proposed target location is 832' FSL, 1970' FEL, Section 15, T12N, R14E, UM. A person who may be harmed if the requested order is issued may file a written protest prior to 4:00 pm April 22, 1993 with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 3001 Porcupine Drive, Anchorage, AK 99501, and request a hearing on the matter. If the protest is timely filed, and raises a substantial and material issue crucial to the Commission's determination, a hearing on the matter will be held at the above address at 9:00 am May 10, 1993 in conformance with 20 AAC 25.540. If a hearing is to be held, interested parties may confirm this by calling the Commission's office, at (907) 279-1433, after April 22, 1993. If no proper protest is filed, the Commission will consider the issuance of an order without a hearing.
