Anchorage Pursuant to 11 AAC 25.055 (d), Aurora Gas, LLC (Aurora) hereby requests approval to allow the drilling, perforating, completing, testing and production of the Nicolai Creek Unit #11 development gas well within 3,000 feet of other existing gas wells in the Nicolai Creek Unit on the west side of the Cook Inlet. A plat depicting the location of this proposed well has been previously submitted with the Permit to Drill (form 10-401). The Nicolai Creek Unit #11 will be targeting gas in the Upper Tyonek Carya 2-1 thru 2-5 sands. This well is needed to increase production from the Nicolai Creek Unit by accessing the referenced sands further to the west. The closest well to the proposed Nicolai Creek Unit #11 is the Nicolai Creek Unit #1B well approximately 1,722 feet to the west. Aurora is the lessee and Unit Operator of the Nicolai Creek Unit and all surrounding oil and gas leases and adjoining governmental sections. The only affected landowner of this application for exception is the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Notice required by AOGCC regulation has been sent to BLM and the Affidavit attesting to this and the other facts contained herein is attached. The proposed well is located in Section 30, Township 11 North, Range 12 West, of the Seward Meridian. It is planned to be drilled approximately 1,894 feet from the south section line and 1,435 feet from the east section line, within the Moquawkie Unit located on the west side of the Cook Inlet. The nearest well capable of production from the same reservoir is the Nicolai Creek Unit #1B, approximately 1,722 feet to the west.
