Originally it was suspected to be due to thermal responses as the injection temperature has been continually rising. The well will be WAG'd to water injection and initial diagnostics will include an MITIA and tubing packoff tests done by the DHD crew. If the MITIA fails, the well will be shut in and further diagnostics will be scheduled. Assuming the MITIA passes, it is ConocoPhillips intention to WAG the well to water and monitor wellhead pressures for 30 days in preparation for an AA application. Please let me know if you disagree. Attached is a 90 day TIO plot and wellbore schematic. This well will be operated as a Class II UIC well in compliance with Area Injection Order No. 2. Water will be injected for the purpose of enhanced recovery into the Kuparuk interval between the depths of 8672' MDRKB and 8790' MDRKB This interval correlates with the strata found in ARCO's West Sak River State Well No. 1 between the depths of 6474' and 6880' as authorized in Rule 1 of this injection order. A Mechanical Integrity Test will be performed before injection is initiated and every four years thereafter, in compliance with Rule 6 of this order. This well's injection volumes, average injection pressure, and average annulus pressure will be reported to the AOGCC monthly. RECEIVED JUL 1 4 ~99~ Alaska Oil & Gas Cons. CornmisSlou Anchorage Drill Site 2M General Procedure for Initial Water Injection Conversions AFC #996572 Downhole Work: K83339 The following general slickline procedure should be utilized for all of the initial producer-to-injector conversions on Drill Site 2M. The initial ten (10) producing wells are unlifted to date, though all are outfitted with dummied off mandrels. Copies of the individual wellbore schematics are attached for reference. · Obtain a final 12-hour well test. Notify J. B. RIH and set SV in the "D" nipple. Pressure test the tubing/DV's to 1500 psi. 4. RIH and pull the bottom 1-1/2" DV and replace it with a CV. . Rig up hot oiler to the 3-1/2"x 7" annulus, and reverse circulate the annulus to diesel while taking returns from the tubing. Fill the annulus with diesel to the bottom GLM. Annular capacity is .0264 Bbls/Ft. 6. RIH and pull the CV in the bottom mandrel and replace with a 1-1/2" DV. 7. Pressure test the tubing to 1500 psi to ensure that the DV's are set. 8. RIH and pull the SV. 9. RDMO slickline. Notify the State for witness of the Mechanical Integrity Test. 10. Conduct MIT test. Packer depths and 7" annular pressures required are shown below. Pressures must be held for 30 minutes with no more than a 10% decline. Bleed the annulus to 500 psi after completing each test. Well P~.(;:ker TVD Depth Rea'd Casing Pressure for MIT 2M-16 5832' 2100 psi 2M-19 5855' 2110 psi 11. Initiate water injection at approximately 500 BWPD and gradually ramp up rate until the WHP reaches 1500 psi. Keep the injection rate constant until KPE can conduct a step rate. Once the step rate test is complete, the wells will be opened up to maximum permissible injection pressure, or maximum header pressure available (if lower). Maximum anticipated surface pressure is calculated using a surface casing leak-off of 13.5 ppg EMW and a gas gradient of 0.11 psi/ft. This shows that formation breakdown would occur before a surface pressure of 1649 psi could be reached. Therefore, ARCO Alaska, Inc. will test the BOP equipment to 3000 psi. The nearest well to 2M-19 will be proposed Well 2M-18. As designed, the minimum distance between the two wells would be 25' at 300' MD. The wells would diverge from that point. Incidental fluids developed from drilling operations will be hauled to the nearest permitted disposal well or will be pumped down the surface/production casing annulus of the last well drilled. That annulus will be left with a non-freezing fluid during any extended shut down (>4 hrs) in pumping operations. The annulus will be sealed with 175 sx of cement followed by arctic pack upon completion of fluid pumping. * Spud mud should be adjusted to a funnel viscosity between 100-120 sec/qt to drill gravel beds.
