INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL: This form is designed for submitting a complete and correct well completion report and log on all types of lands and leases in Alaska. ITEM 1.' Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. ITEM 5: Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 16 AND 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. ITEM 21: Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). ITEM 23: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 27: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, Other-explain. ITEM 28: If no cores taken, indicate 'none'. The well was shut-in in 1987, due to high GOR and the flow line was disconnected. The well has not produced in 10 years. Inner and outer annulus integrity is thought to be good, but pre-rig test is still needed. Pre-Rig Operations: 1. Notify AOGCC of initiation prior to commencing any P&A operations. 2. MIRU 3. NU on Well. Bullhead seawater down tubing to kill well and verify injectivity. 4. Make GR/JB run on 5~" x 31~'' tubing. 5. Pressure test 9 5/8" annulus to 3500 psi for 30 min to check for casing integrity and tubing integrity to packer. If pressure test fails, set plug in tubing and pressure test to 2500 psi for 30 min. Call Matt Scheuring @ 564-4809 (275-3227 - pager) if them are any problems. 6. Bullhead 141 sks. (30 bbls.) of class G, 15.8 ppg cement down tubing, and displace with 89 bbls. to place TOC @ 8600'. 30 bbls is hole volume calculated, plus 10%. 7. Tag and pressure test cement P&A.TOC no higher then 8400'. 8. Punch tubing at 7900' to allow circulation for freeze protection. 9. Circulate and freeze protect tubing. 10. Test packoffs on tubing and 9 5/8" annulus, and carefully cycle Iockdown screws. 11. Clear location, dig out cellar, remove electrical lines, remove well house. 12. ARCO Alaska, Inc. proposes an open hole type of comple- tion which they believe will aid in the evaluation of completion techniques in the Sadlerochit formation. · Notice of the application was published in the Anchorage Times on July 30, 1982. 4. There were no protests to the application. FINDINGS: · · Open hole completions are commonly used in many oil producing areas. There. have been other open hole completions in the Sadlerochit formation in the Prudhoe Bay Field. CONCLUSION: The requested exception will not damage the reservoir, will not be wasteful and will add to the knowledge of completion techniques for the Prudhoe Oil Pool. Conservation Or~ ~No. 184 Page 2 NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: .. ARCO Alaska, Inc. is exempted from the requirements of Rule 3(f) of Conservation Order No. 145 and may complete the Prudhoe Bay' Unit Well No. DS 18-6 with an open hole type of completion DONE at Anchorage, Alaska and dated August 12, 1982, C?~-V~.
